That depends on a person's mindset.
-
For sure, having the right mindset allows those to see challenges as opportunities, learn from mistakes, build resilience and more.

Mine exists around my health, so if I'm having a bad spell it can affect my mood, I'm aware of this so instead of isolating I reach out to others, or connect with nature which gets me out of that, or I'm kind to myself rather than frustration and intolerance. Be kind to yourself.

Shadow Of The Mind Sorry to hear about your health. It’s good to hear you’re reaching out to others. I know some people with depression keep it to themselves making themselves worse by doing so. As Shrek says, “better out than in”. Connecting with nature is the right way to do it. -
⭐️Creamcrackered Yes, I know some people who have struggled with it. I think awareness of most things Shadow, is helping people be more understanding and able to reach out. I went to a support group when I got my autoimmune condition and met an array of different people, some who shared the same sense of humour as me. -
Shadow Of The Mind I agree. People awareness is important and reaching out is only human. It’s good to have a sense of humour.

Go to your doctor and see about some of the newer antidepressants that are available. They might be able to help with making the depression temporary instead of permanent. 12/21/25

It’s not really an answer to my question because the question is directed to others who have depression. It doesn’t necessarily mean I have it. I like to show interest in mental health which people in general don’t care much about or that they don’t take notice of it. -

Oh well, consider it a generic "your doctor" instead of a specific "your doctor". There is help available for that problem. -
