  • 10/23/2023, we all suffer bad days or weeks when - we just don’t have it in us, and that’s okay. Responding to your friends in an open and empathetic way will show them that they aren’t a burden.
  • Try praying for her depression and ask the Lord to lift it off and take things from there.
  • Encourage her to get help, it will possibly the stepping stone of change for her, especially if she's struggling with family, is she at school or college, do they have resources to reach out to? Drugs can help temporarily, but talking will be the best source in the long run. Continue chatting to her if you enjoy her company, but do not feel obligated or guilt tripped, do it because you want to. Depression can last a long time, and can feel isolating, and as much as I'm concerned for her, I am also for you, as I don't want you feeling like you can rescue her or that it's your responsibility, you're responsibility is to yourself first. It is learning to sunbathe in the rain with depression, one day she'll find the clouds will part and the sun will come out, but getting professional medical help is the main thing for her and her journey out of this, it may even be a hormonal thing, which a doctorcan also help with.
