i love them. i had one up to about 32 weeks pregnant, and then had to take it out due to the stretching. i'm waiting to have all my kids before putting it back in!

It has to look right. I'm not out to hurt feelings, but they look funny if you have an outie, and they aren't attractive if your'e very overweight. They also look kinda feminine, so they dont necessarily suit guys too well. But.........if you like it get it.

I think they look great on a person that feels good about their own body...you can tell those people with out even talking to them by just observing how they hold themselves in public! I pesonally think a belly button ring with a dangly little something hanging down is the sexiest....a flat tummy....with a dainty little silver ring and a hanging little sparkly..is all I need to get going...lol...well...a bit more would help too!

First of all, I am a girl, a teenager actually, and this is my opinion about belly button piercings.I don't think they are worth the trouble. I think they look trashy. Now, if there is a specific religious or cultural tie to having your belly button pierced, then that is understandable, because for some religions that's like praying. For any other reason, though, it's just NOT worth it. I really do think it looks trashy, and the only way I would ever get it done is if I was drunk and not thinking straight (which would never happen). When I see a girl with a belly button piercing, all I see is TRASH! Sorry, I don't mean to offend anyone, this is just my personal opinion.

I think they can be really nice, on a flat tummied person. Not being rude, but i wouldn't have it done untill i was confortable in showing my stumach to everyone, because of my wieght. But belly button piercings on over wieght people isn't nice.

I think it's a cute piercing, but it's also one of the slowest to heal since it's in a pretty high friction area. make sure to get it done a couple months before bikini season. :P

I think it's very sexy, On a guy or girl! I have my bellybutton pierced and I do admit the healing period can be pretty nasty, but overall I find it one of the most hottest piercings on a body.

As a high level martial artist, I am aware of the way any metal, being close to the body, disrupts the normal flow of energy (Chi) ... peircings go below the skin and are therefore even worse than a plain (metal) ring, necklace, or wrist watch ... as such, I do not wear very much metal (usually none), and will not even carry coins in my pants pocket ... most of my pants have plastic or fancy wood buttons instead of a metal zipper (a few are plastic zippers). ... on the other hand, the appearance of such ornamental jewelery can be very attractive ... and a few Tai Chi Masters that I know have peircings and wear beautifully painted ceramic jewelery.

Guys think they are sexy,so it depends what kind of person you are. But you need to remeber that you are not going to be this age anymore ,sooner or later everyone becomes old and "ugly" looking.So don't do it if you are just trying to impress a guy, cuz if he just wants you cuz you are hot, remember you are not going to look like that forever.

I love them!! I've had my inverse (lower) navel piercing since 1978, just got the top (standard) done 11/07. I've never had kids so I still have a pretty flat tummy.

I think I have one, it still went in after two kids and yes my tummy is flat and I was lucky not to get stretch marks either, so it isn't scary like some I have seen. I don't show it with my kids around, but on the rare occasion me and my hubby go to the bar or what not I will maybe have a peek a boo shirt on so you can see it, but I am not big on revealing clothing so mostly it's hidden. I don't know why I keep it in, other then it makes me FEEL sexy.

I don't know... it's pretty common now. It's no different than seeing a girl with pierced ears. However, I do think it's a little weird when I see guys with pierced belly buttons... I personally don't find it veyr attractive on men.
