  • Absolutely! Stress can cause a myriad of problems ... starting with high blood pressure, anxiety, etc.! I have no doubt that I've been on blood pressure medicine for 25 years because of my extremely high stress job! my doctor told me to look for another job, but, back then, that was easier said than done.
  • Ofcourse yes :) !
  • I think those advil comercials are the leading cause but my research may be a little one sided.
  • Stress and anxiety can absolutely cause tension headaches. I was a new mother in a bad marriage and got really bad headaches. Stress and anxiety can also cause panic attacks. Whatever the source of your stress and anxiety, find a way to manage it. Go see your family doctor and discuss it with him/her.
  • Stress causes bad headaches and anxiety can cause your blood pressure to rise and your stomach to be in knots, and your heart to flutter.
  • Yes, it can. It can lead to high blood pressure which can lead to s stroke. Women especially, are at very high risk for stroke who do not practice ways of dealing with anxiety/stress. Stress effects not only the mind but the heart from getting worked up and not working it out. If you feel overwhelmed .. find ways of dealing with the stress.. each and every person is different and you have to find what works for you. Walking, exercise, talking with a friend or even writing things out. A lot of times anxiety comes at a person when they are not feeling overly stressed and they think something is wrong with them because life might be going pretty well at the moment but.. anxiety or the brunt of a stressful situation can hit someone AFTER you have gone through it, but it has been bottled up. Tension headaches are a killer.. it is just a painful type of headache. If you want fast relief and are unable to rest at the moment one hits (to give your mind, body and spirit a shut down moment to relax) try good ole goodys powder aspirin. Nasty but effective hopefully. Rubbing and applying pressure also helps. Each person is different but finding ways to deal with stress is imperative to our health.
