Anxiety meds are different than sedatives. But the point is there are meds available if you need them. -

Meditation? ;-) For me it's faith. I pray that God's will be done in my life and have faith that whatever happens is what is best for me in the long run. I look for the lesson to be learned so the lesson doesn't have to be repeated. I use several strategies for remembering depending on which tools I have on hand and what needs to be remembered. Calendars, timers, alarms and day planners are helpful. I use the ones on my phone along with my notes or notepad. Text files if you prefer or a diary or ledger. For internal memory I've used association and pegs systems. Experts say puzzles, continuing education and brain games are good, using your non dominant hand to do as much as you can and dressing in the dark teaches your brain new ways to think or something like that, but I'm just going by what I remember off the top of my head! Haha

There are also essential oils like lavender that are supposed to help with relaxation and chamomile, but I haven't researched it. -

Yes I do meditate and sometimes pray (usually in thanks or surrender) I did do some of Kevin Trudeau's Mega Memory exercises. The strange thing about memory for me is that I have an incredible memory for some things to great detail, yet others, like water off a ducks back. Thanks for the suggestions Linda Joy

I had a counselor for a few months which was very helpful. It did reveal patterns that keep me stuck in a loop sometimes.
