When my daughter was in 8th grade she brought her boyfriend home and he had one. I thought I was going to die! Looking back, it was quite a sight...with spikes about a foot long. He was actually a pretty nice guy. Once I was on a subway in England and 3 mowhawked-scarry-looking guys got on. I was pretty nervous until one of them turned to me and said, with that lovely Brittish accent: "Excuse me Ma'am, do you have the time?" We had a great chat after that. So it's true that you can't judge a book by its cover.

Yeah I've known a few people that have had mohawks...I wouldn't choose the look myself, but to each their own.
