I might just call once in a while, but I would still call.

I don't think so. Friendship should be reciprocal. When one person is not contributing as much I would give them their space and maybe, in time, they may feel the draft. If not, let sleeping dogs lie.
-
That's the story of my life.

I do have a friend like this. It's OK, but it would be much nicer if she called me once in awhile too.
-
Most certainly. These are hard times and people are busy saving on phone bills. When I call it is me who is paying so the conversations that I enjoy so much could continue without undue hardship to others.
-
I'm totally guilty of doing that. My sister or sister-in-law are usually the ones who call. I love them dearly but I'm not real good at making phone calls. I email my sis all the time and my sister-in-law doesn't have a computer so I can't do that with her. On behalf of people like me, please continue calling. We appreciate it a lot! :)

You know I had the same thought about a certain young lady from Michigan.
-
Yeah I would.
-
No. I'd tell them to call me once in awhile and if they didn't, that would be the end.

.

I would continue to call. Not all my friends can afford to call me. If the person seemed reluctant to talk when I called, then I would probably stop or reduce my calling frequency.

For awhile, but not forever.
