G'day Lydia, Thank you for your question. I generally use a microwave but leave it out if I have time. Regards
-
In a large bowl of cold water, changed every 20 minutes or so. It's the fastest and the safest way.
-
Put it in cold water, checking on it, and replacing the water every 30-45 minutes.
-
I either leave it out in a bowl or in cold water.
-
hmmm in cold water also seems to be a trend :)
-
Is that a euphemism?
-
Put it in fridge night before. Or preferably buy the day of....don't microwave though...it's too uneven and it kinda grosses me out.
-
put hicken in frig it will get de frosted then if not all defrosted put in microve
-
I don't freeze my meat or chicken. I only buy what I'm going to use for the week.
-
At work, cold water bath. At home slow defrost in fridge. There are only two health department ways allowed in our state. Cold water bath or slow defrost at refridgerator temps.
-
Fill the sink with water and submerge the chicken, keeps bacteria from growing on it.
-
Depends on how soon I am going to use it after I buy it. If I will use it immediately, I don't even freeze it. What's the point? If it will be a day or two, I put it in the freezer above my refrigerator and just microwave it. If it will be longer, I put it in my deep freeze then when I know I will use it the next day I put it out on my counter (inside its package) up until I am about ready to use it. Then I microwave it.

Oh man... Instant irritation. lol. Thanks. For this question, I usually just get a big bowl of cold water, put the chicken in a zip lock bag, and sink it in the water for a couple hours. Cold water defrosts it but doesn't cook it.
-
I just leave it out to self defrost.
-
in the fridge
-
I usually try to put it in the fridge the day before so it will thaw slowly.
-
In the microwave...on the defrost setting...very easy

I shot a chicken into the air It fell to earth I know not where I sang a song into the air and who can follow the flight of a song Years later I found the chicken in the cold running brook ..............................still uncooked and I found the song in the heart of the cook.
