Can a landlord make a live in guest leave without evicring them if we let them live here?

No. Since the party is live-in that makes him a tenant and the landlord must legally evict him. Depending on the state you too could be evicted for allowing anyone who is not on the lease to live there. Isn't live-in guest an oxymoron? Here in Arizona if a guest stays more than 7 days without prior permission being granted by the landlord he becomes a tenant.
