  • no one asks me that, i think its because i'm brown
  • No, I have only ever been asked once or twice in my life!
  • When asked are you saved? I say, Save me some of the rent money if you are Christian you will.
  • I'm very, very tired of it, really... after a point, it simply annoys you to death, and after that... it even becomes offesnive.
  • One of the proofs of genuinely born-again Christians is that they suddenly develop a burden for those that are not saved and do not know Christ as a personal saviour. They do not approach everyone like J.W.’s for instance, but usually have a inclination (feel anointing) to approach a specific person. This is not a joke, although I know how you feel, I’ve been there. I can speak from an experience as a one that was bothered, and now one that use to “bother” others. I think after I became born-again Christian, I should have been put away for few years, because all I aver wanted to do is tell others about Jesus. I still do it, but not nearly and aggressively as I used to. I have learned to wait to hear from God before I will actually bring up the subject. Look at it different way. The day will come where you will stand before judgment seat of Christ. There are those that will cry, “If I’ve only known…” but in your case? What will you say?
  • I only hear this question on this website.
  • Eh, who cares. Let them talk all they want, it's not going to change anything. If it bothers you, that must mean you're doubting your beliefs somehow. (Which is not a bad thing, just something to consider).
  • Fortunately nobody asks me this often. Which either means they know how I would react, or it is assumed that I am beyond redemption. Whatever.....
  • Not really, I am however tired of the people that think the bible is proof of God's existance, IT IS NOT!!!
  • The one I am tired of is "Have you found Jesus"..Talk about a guilt trip..I swear if I knew he was missing I would have helped with the search...LOL:)
  • I don't get how these people think that anyone they meet has NOT heard of Christianity and made up their own mind about it already. It's like walking around saying "Have you heard of radio?" I don't have to justify the fact that I prefer my MP3 player. I like to listen to music I select instead of hearing the programmed selections of someone else.
  • Any group that bothers people with trying to push their religion on people is just showing how brainwashed they are. A truly spiritual person feels no need to do this -- their actions are what speaks and people will be more encouraged to follow. As soon as somebody says "are you saved?" or they come knocking on my door, they turn me away.
  • No. First of all no one ever asks me that, second..there are much more offensive things for a person to say.
  • No. I already have been saved and accepted Christ and if someone asks me if I have I can experience the joy of spreading the good news. :) -In the service of the Master. Thank you and God bless you!
  • Thankfully nobody asks me this.
  • No. I try to remember that the person who asks me this is actually concerned with my well being and is trying to do something good for me. I tell them yes and thank them for asking. Why does everything have to be so confrontational?
  • Does this mean we can't hold hands and screech gospel music together?
  • God is a just god....but he does say vengence is mine. You cannot tell me how to be saved or even if I am. But I am pretty darn sure that proclaiming you are saved after shedding innocent blood simply is NOT enough. The bible also says faith without works is dead. If you beleive in god certainly god is not stupid enough to let that slide. True that Jesus' Death is a new covenant but God also says I am the same today as always. Jesus says I am the alpha and omega...meaning also he is the god of the old and new testament. Therefore a simple proclaimation of Christ as savior is not enough.
  • Maybe that's the whole idea, get you so tired that you'll accept anything just to stop going through the whole persuasion routine again.
  • I don't mind it as much as I used to, but it's still annoying. The main problem I have with it is that I don't think that it should be any of their business, but I figure that their pastor probably instructs them to make it their business. Also, I'm a bit turned off by the fact that I'm asked this by people who have asked me before. It's crazy. I'm a Catholic and they know it. I guess it's partially my fault. It's what I get for being Catholic in a Protestant only zone. I mean, I might as well sacrifice a goat to Sol Invictus on top of a hill; it's the same thing to them.
  • Yes, and I think all the repeat questions should be removed as spam.
  • It hardly ever seems to happen here in Oz anymore. I remember it used to - when certain branches of christianity were recruiting heavily. Now, I think I've only had 1 visit of the JW's in 7 years. I told them to come back when they could demonstrate to me exactly why the bible was "more" true than the Koran, the Baghavad Gita, the book of Mormon or Tom Clancy's Op Centre. Haven't seen 'em again yet...
  • i dont often get asked but if i didnt i wouldnt get tired of it more so creeped the eff out
  • they know better than to ask me:)
  • Not as tired as they are of my less than pleasant response. Or at least I hope this is the case.
  • No - The only thing that tires me is when people jump all over other people because of a simple disagreement. We all disagree at times - Move on!
  • YES YES YES !!! LOL :)
  • well, it depends. if the person simply wants to share their viewpoint with me, it doesn't bother me at all. i enjoy having religious discussions with people. if they are trying to convert me back to christianity, i'll have none of it. sadly, that's what most people around my area are interested in- the repent or burn type mentality. i believe that all religions and belief systems are simply different means of achieving the same end. i left christianity because it didn't work for me, but i can understand how it can work for someone else, and absolutely if they believe that jesus is the only way to achieve salvation, then of course they want to share that opinion with others. i understand that. i only ask that others- regardless of how strong they are in their religious convictions- have the same respect for me.
  • I am very sick of it.
  • Of course not! If I were drowning in water, I would want someone to offer to help me. If I were still drowning in sin, I would want someone to offer to help me. Just as pride would kill me if I refused help when I was in the water, pride will kill all those who refuse help in their sin.
  • I haven't ever been asked this nor have I ever asked anyone this... The Bible tells us in the time ALL will know of the Christ....ALL will have the option... don't worry about adults....i worry about the children who have no clue and grow up with no option of who Jesus Christ was and what HE did for us...
  • I don't think I've ever been asked actually, but for me it's none of their business. I don't see any of us getting into heave through some type of brownie-point system. Christ died for me; thus, I'm saved by grace through faith. All I have to do is believe. It's a personal thing. I don't ask it of others, and I don't ram my beliefs down their throats. That's me. Take it or leave it.
  • Ha..ha it reminds me of the advertisements we hear and see everyday. Why should we be the receivers? Maybe I'll start a new pick up line? How can You save Me? (Joke)
  • It's a very rare occurrence as I associate with a more diverse interfaith crowd. Christ,Buddha,Allah,Great Spirit....
  • since I've only been asked that maybe 4 times in my 48 years I'd have to say no. I couldn't care less.
  • Extremely so. How extraordinarily arrogant of christians to assume that 'being saved' or 'accepting Christ' is the only way to lead a good life.
  • Yes, once a week at minimum I get some nutjob at my door. I think they've got a pool going to see who'll convert me first.
  • no. i want people to know so i can set an example. besides poeple dont have to ask me i act the part.
  • Not at all. It's simply another chance to possibly witness too or carry on a conversation with another person.
  • If somebody asks me, I'd be more than happy to tell him/her that I did :)
  • Nope. The freaks wouldn't dare - they know better!
