  • Okay so today you learned a good lesson, and all it cost you was one little detention. One detention is not a heavy sentence, get over it and move forward. Blaming your teachers for your mistakes won't win you any points either, learn to accept your responsibilities and be accountable for your actions. Oh and by the way ... telling us that your parents "hate " you - really, really makes you sound like a petty little drama queen.
    • Hardcore Conservative
Personal responsibility is a lesson few learn nowadays, Ice.
  • Learn from it. Life is seldom "fair".
  • well its kinda fair tho.. it like their way of teaching you that you should do better and you for you not to be used not in citing the author for you may be put to jail hhehehe peace kawaii
  • What do I think? I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill. I dread to think how you will react when you encounter something that REALLY isn't fair.
  • Detention is never fair, why should a school be allowed to stop you from going home. Suspension and expulsion are fair however, its basically saying, "you don't have to go home but you can't stay here."
  • Take it as a lesson learned and move on. You got just a lesson from your teacher on how NOT to cite. You made a mistake, but that doesn't mean you don't have to pay for your mistakes. And I'm pretty sure your parents don't hate you.
