I have a lot of tombstones and make my yard look like a gigantic graveyard. Then we set up two life-size coffins and when the kids come up to get candy, they have to pick a coffin and we jump out and scare them.

Nope. I really don't see why it's becoming popular to do so in Scotland. Haven't we got enough tradtions of our own for guising night without importing the plastic-fantastic americian stuff ?

Yes, a little. I have vintage Halloween cut-outs from the days when the holiday had a sinister and not cute connotation. They're not terrifying, but they're more effective than adorable kittens popping out of pumpkins. They go up on my outside door.

Nope. For me the only thing for Halloween is trick or treating for young kids. People starting thinking they needed to "decorate" because the stores starting selling decorations. People are funny.

No we don't have many kids trick a treating anymore.

I like to do crafts, so it is a good excuse to do so. I like to decorate the front door with something new I made each year.

We live in a 55+ Retirement Community. Some decorate for Christmas but nothing else. :)
