my birth place of Solana,Fl is a hicktown and i wouldn't want it any other way
-
Yes I do, rednecks are everywhere
-
Yes,that's me. Hillbilly hick at one time now redneck hick. I'll never be made into an urban dweller :-)
-
Yeah! I've been around a few of those! The older I get, the LESS I see them as "hicks" but rather like "real" people!
-
Yep, grew up here and came back. Hee Haw!
-
I lived in Oak Park, Illinois. Hemmingway lived there. He said it was a place with wide lawns and narrow minds. By the time I got there it was pretty cool though.
-
I have lived in 3 of them. Also in Sioux Falls, SD and Lincoln, NE. To some people in large cities I have lived in 5 hick towns (all of them).
-
I do now. My town covers a whopping three square miles and has a population of around 800. I've met all of them and I think they're all related! http://www.city-data.com/city/Luthersville-Georgia.html
-
Yep.
-
most all of my life i have lived in one hicktown or another.
-
More or less, though I tend to think of it as more a 'real people' town than 'hicktown'. As compared to my time in a larger city, I'll take hicktown any time.
-
Yes. Even my hometown of 18,000 would probably be considered a hick town by some standards. It WAS called 'hooterville' by the local college kids. So maybe all my life.
-
Yes Ma'am I live in Hicktown!!! And it is a perfect place to raise my children.
-
I have lived in hick towns and cities. Currently I live 15 miles away from the nearest hicktown. Would like to go further interior and live in the wilderness!
-
oh yea! moved from NYC to BumbleF***k, USA. Lived there for 12 years, came to love and even embrace the whole hicktown vibe and scene. I eventually moved back but now I realize the best summers I ever had were in where else, that hicktown!
-
Yup, from Hickville, USA. In fact the entire county has only 2 sets of traffics lights in it. And those have only been installed within the last 10 yrs. But I love the hickville life.
-
I've hung around some pretty small and earthy places but seldom stay longer than to top off the tank in "Hicktowns"
-
Yes, I lived in a hicktown 7 months ago. Spent 8 years of my life in Liberty, Ky. Very small town.. got boring there a lot, but after I got to know my friends there, it wasn't anymore =D Got a lot of new family there now =)
-
Yes, I do now but have lived in Chicago, IL and Evergreen, CO. in the past.
-
Oh,God YES! GET ME OUTTA HERE!Aaaaaaggggh!~wink~*
-
Yes, I lived in Albany, Ohio from age 8 until age 16. BORING!!! :o)
-
never
-
My mom lives in a town called Livermore. There arer actual Cowboys out there still riding horses.
-
Yes. It's gotten alot better in recent years, but it used to be a center of Klan activity. Kids used to ride tractors to the highschool. I kid you not. There is nothing wrong with being rural or country, of course, but we were straight up redneck trash.
-
Yes, there is actually a Rodeo there on June 16 and 17th. Parade, city holiday...this is a big thing for a small town like that! Yee Haw!!!!! LOL
-
I grew up in one. I wouldn't mind moving back, but my partner is convinced he'd die of boredom.
-
Grew up in a one stoplight town of 6000 people. 26 churches, 98% white, dancing was illegal until 1980 and at least a few people rode in on horseback on the last day of school each year. I knew of people named things like Jim Bob, Dakota, and Rope.
-
Yes I lived on a ranch for many of my childhood years...
-
Nope. Grew up in a big city and now live in kind of a big towm which is the county seat. I guess you could count college which is in South Bend, IN, which was kind of a Hicktown, but technically, I was just visiting. I'm basically a city boy.
