I would definately say so, being a man I can't speak from personal experience, but buying underwear can make a woman feel good about herself and sexy. Boxers are just boxers, I don't think I've ever thought 'God I'm sexy in those boxers' :p

I think women are a lot more savvy about when it's time to buy such items than men are. They are also much more attuned to when those items go on sale than men are. "Attention Wal-Mart shoppers: 3 pair of panties for 99 cents; today only in the lingerie department."

Yes. Women often buy men's underwear for men. One advertising headline I recall was: "What do women look for in men's underwear?" I think the answer was comfort, fit and washability. I wonder if I would get similar answers if I posted this question on Answerbag.
