Hardly ever, at least not people from my country. Rasmus is a fairly common Danish name and simple to spell in Danish. However, there might be an American or two who have failed to even understand how to pronounce it ;)

All the time, even after I spell it and say it. Had AT&T send a bill with my name spelled wrong, wasn't even close. They blamed me for it being wrong too, why would I forget how to spell my own name, then when they fixed it they forgot to enter my last name so i was getting things with JUST my first name from them, geniuses I tell you. Then I had a person argue that I was pronouncing my own name wrong once. It is Christen, pronounced chris (like the boy) and ten (like the number), they told me it was christian (the religion) and I needed to learn how to pronounce MY name correctly because it made me look uneducated. I actually came back with the fact that it would actually be pronounced like the actual word "christen", like christening a baby if we really got down to it. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/christen

About 90% of the time. Both my first name and surname are 'odd' and are not pronounced the way they are spelled. It's easy for me to know a telemarketer or bill collector when I answer the phone, they pronouce my name wrong... "No, there is no one here by that name." :D

I usually don't have a problem with pronounciation, but I have had people put an "H" in "Tom".

I've got a pretty common first name. I never use my middle name. My last name is routinely misspelled and/or mispronounced anytime I'm more than about 75 miles from home. Most people just get it wrong, although there are a couple of alternate pronunciations (one is geographic, the other is economic). I've had people argue with me that I'M pronouncing my own last name wrong (once by someone with the same name - for 35 minutes or more).
