The civilized side of me says Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada would be fine, or a small island off the coast in the Georgia Strait. The uncivilized side of me says farther north, maybe closer to southeast Alaska or along Newfoundland or Labrador. I do love tropical, more towards Spice islands and Solomon Islands, then Caribbean or Hawaii. But I am completely besotted with the north and evergreen trees and glaciers and the wild, uncivilized rather than tans and sunshine and sand.
