  • It's part of their nature. While in the wild, it was easy for a predator to steal their food, so if they ate fast, they got a more fulfilling meal. It's self-preservation.

      But my dogs will eat grass until they vomit, then, as soon as they are done vomiting, go back to eating grass. This process repeats until I manage to stop them. If wolves in the wild behaved this way, the entire forest floor would be covered in wolf vomit.

      are you feeding them something that is making them sick.why they are eating grass? Give them a bit more dog food?

      Vet keeps saying I feed them too much. We've tried all sorts of plain dogfoods and fancy dogfoods and they still eat grass. The younger one (they're both old dogs) will eat literally anything that he can, including the woodwork of my house. He acts like we are starving him all of the time. The older one sometimes acts that way, too, but less so since he's turned 14 and lost a little of his appetite.
