  • Obey the rules of the road. By law (in the U.S.) bicycles are moving vehicles with all of the same rights as motorized vehicles. They DO have a few additional restrictions (such as: required to ride on the right side of the road if not preparing to make a left-turn) and in most municipalities it IS legal for a motor vehicle and a bicycle to share the right lane IF the lane is sufficiently wide for both to travel safely. *** Always irks me when drivers think they own the road. In most municipalities, bicycles are REQUIRED to use the road. (It is ILLEGAL to ride a bicycle on the sidewalk in most municipalities.)
  • wait until i can pass safely, holding a low gear of course.
  • I pass at the earliest, safe opportunity. I usually have more difficulties, with people still wearing masks, and driving Prius'.
