  • If there's a rule in place, you can't be allowed to violate it, to be an exception, if other people are required to obey it. You can inquire of the administration whether her status as a former student might allow you to bring her as your guest, but don't be surprised if they say "No." You're asking that you be accorded a privilege others won't receive, and that's not fair. Perhaps she could be invited to an afterparty that you attend. You could also decide not to go yourself, and you and your girlfriend could just do something else that evening.
