Have you ever had to be truly dependent? Not be able to take care of yourself?
There are so many lessons in humility flashing through my mind! Broken ribs broken ankles not being able to work, losing everything I'd worked all my life for! Feeling useless! The struggle to become useful again! Thank you God for every lesson and experience! And for showing me how good good can be after the fall!

Except when I was a young child I have never been totally dependent on anyone. I depend only on myself as I have no others. Even when severely ill or when I had my accident with severe closed head brain injury I took care of myself. I am not supposed to be alive today but I was back on the job in 9 weeks. Rehab said I should not have gone to work for 24 to 36 months. This happened back in 1997.

Only when I was a baby! I am strong and fit, since I worked hard on my parents' farm while growing up, and now, I exercise to stay fit. Luckily, I've never has any severe injuries or illnesses that make people dependent on others.
