Why do people think affirmative action is a positive thing? If anything it holds people back, allowing children to score lower get the same rewards and be content with that.

Affirmative action was initially meant to provide an opportunity for the otherwise excluded. It gave the person a chance to pull themselves up by the shoe laces and lead a productive life. As soon that person gets the position however, they seldom pull their own weight. Now what does that tell you. I've also noticed that in some of the management areas the person thinks they have all the necessary skills that come with the title but having the title does not necessarily mean you have the skills. You have to learn them.
