There are two kinds of atheists the "weak" and the "strong" The weak says "I do not believe in God," the strong states that there is no God or Gods.

Only one of them is telling an empirical truth.

"I do not believe in God": there is god but i don't belive in him ......... :)

Not believing would mean the same as not existing when used to talk about God.

-
Simple. One is stating a definite belief. The other is voicing a LACK of belief.
-
The second person is saying that, "There may be a God, but if there is, I will not worship him."
-
one might believe in something else.
-
Usually when I see someone talking about "God" without an article (definite, indefinite, possesive pronoun, etc.) preceding it, I immediately think that that person is referring to the Abrahamic God (just from experience). So in the first statement, to me it sounds like one is saying the Abrahamic God doesn't exist at all. The second statement, to me, sounds like the speaker has an amount of respect for the Abrahamic God, but doesn't believe in him or follows a different deity instead.

One is a slave to doubt, the other is merely stating their opinion. Atheism is a position based on opinions - not any facts.
