If something says "transgender woman," does that mean it's a dude who wants to be a girl, or a girl who wants to be a dude?

A trans-X "Y" is a person who identifies as a "Y" but is biologically whatever the opposite X of Y is. For example, a trans-gender woman is a person who identifies as a woman but is biologically the opposite gender. Then please explain to me why the suicide rate is so much higher for trans- people in relation to the overall population. (and please don't say that it's discrimination, because it's not supported by the facts). Even after gender reassignment surgery, the suicide rate goes up, not down. -

I THINK - in politically-correct speak - that it means "a dude who is pretending to be a woman". Why: because in politically correct speak, you are properly and legally termed what you pretend to be (in this case: a "woman") rather than what you actually are.

It's not about "being nice". You can be nice to such a person without EVER using the phrase "transgender woman". That someone else is dictating to ME how I ought to refer to them (CONTRARY to the English language and/or to biology) is what is "not nice".
