Can a Mass Air Flow sensor be cleaned? If so how?

yes, use brake clean,or carb clean spray it thoroughly, use an old tooth brush to clean it if necessery ,VERY GENTLY! the resistors in the sensor are very delicate,blow dry with mouth ,compressed air can damage resistors . be gentle , it can be done

They sell a cleaner specifically for MAF sensors at most parts stores.I have used it--works very well,you just spray lots of it all over and let it air dry.

What type. Thermal ,coriolis, vortex. If the air is dry and the sensors are stainless steel it should not need cleaning. What gas is it measuring?

I DID THIS IN MY CAR.DISCONECT AIR FLOW HOSE FORM FRONT AND BACK AND SPRAY SENSOR INSIDE LINE WITH CARBERATOR FLUID AS SOMETIMES PATICLES CAN LODGE ON SENSOR. DRY AND REPLACE
