You should go to the Dr. Even if the dog has had all shots, you may need a tetnus shot and maybe an antibiotic. I'd be running to the DR.

Go immediately to the ED, don't try and treat it yourself if it's more than a MINOR wound and you KNOW the dog. Puncture wounds (as dog bites often are) push bacteria well below the skin and need to be irrigated and sterilized by a professional, so you don't end up with a nasty infection.

First put pressure on the wound if your bleeding, then wash the wound with soap and water, then hydrogen peroxide, bandage it with a neosporin or something similar...and then off to the doctors immediately.

Agreed that you should go to the Dr. ASAP. Even if the dog has had its shots; a dog bite can set up a most dangerous infection!

Headlock the owner of the dog until they treat the bite, or call the paramedic.
