  • I think that it is life on Mars. It looks awfully realistic. Its so cool though!
  • I have seen the image & there possibly is life on Mars, even if its in the form of bacteria that is life. Perhaps they're mining for something, that supposedly that case with the moon.
  • I've pondered this question for too long now! The pic doesnt really show too much, it's very tiny, the thing in it. I believe there are other life forms out there somewhere, but probably not on Mars.
  • If that is proof of life on Mars then I have proof of elephants living in a very pretty cloud I saw yesterday :)
  • that's just a rock. i see faces in my wallpaper, does it mean there's life in my walls?
  • I consider that inconclusive. There is simply not enough clarity in that particular part of the image to be conclusive proof. I do, however, think that this does raise interesting questions.
  • i'm not sure, i don't think a picture is enough proof, it could be a rock formation at a wierd angle.
  • Hi Rince, I saw the pic on the news and I would be interested if they would show us a pic of the same place next time around, If it's gone then you have a believer (I need to see fooprints as well) but I think it was released to generate interest so that more money can be gleaned to explore space, not that I have anything against that. :o)
  • There's not much that you can take from that picture. Humans have a habit of seeing human forms and faces where there are none, and that's just what's happening here.
  • It's a rock. Look at it in accordance to everything around it. You can even see the base of it sweeping toward you.
  • "A magnified version of the picture, posted on the internet, appears to some to show what resembles a human form among a crop of rocks." I hope so! Maybe taxes there would be much lower.
  • theyve found bacteria on mars
  • i believe that their "was" life on mars, and there is no longer life.
  • Like 'Turkey' said, I do believe that there are bacteria on Mars and as we all know that viruses can survive the most extreme of situations. Did we evolve from a virus that traveled form space and found our planet conducive to life and billions of years later, voila here we are?
  • Yup, but not Martians!!!
  • There very well could be. But we must understand that life as we know it may not. When most of us think about life we think of human like creatures or animal like creatures. something we can relate to here on earth. The problem is we do not know as much as we could know about life past our own understanding. kind of strange even through circumstance to have so many planets and we are the only one with life. But like anything this can be debated and must either choose to have faith that their is life on other planets or have faith their is not. the choice is really your own.
  • Yes, and they're quite different from us! They have their optic nerves connected to the tactile portion of their brain so they can feel your body just by looking at you! It's all a matter of perception! They live underground and have done so for millions of years! They also can go a month without any water because they require so little of it! Their language is unusual as well! They don't speak but they do have a written language that is highly developed!
  • only when you get there... when ya leaving? there is no life on mars... there is no bacteria on mars. there is no past life on mars. there is no unknown, unhumanly comprehensible life on mars. never was never will be.. at least not this century. first the temperatures extremmes will bake you like a nuclear suzy bake oven for days, including gamma rays and xrays etc.. which kill everything...everything.. then there are many days of subartic freezing thmperatures, no liveable atmosphere, no known foods, etc..not jus improbable...impossible..sorry
  • not really...
  • well i dont beleive there is life on mars but here is the real answer and what scientists beleive! In science fiction stories, Mars is the favourite home of aliens. No one has found any green Martians wandering over the planet. But many scientists believe that Mars may be the best place to look for simpler forms of life. Of all the planets in the Solar System, Mars is the most similar to Earth.
  • I don't think theres anything there right now. Mabye something a long time ago or mabye we'll be living there in the future, but I think its dry and boring at the moment.
  • Yes I do believe that there is some form of life on mars, under the surface though were there may be water u might be able to find small colonies of bacteria that can survive in such an environment. As for human life, no mainly because there simply are not the right combination of elements for complex and diverse life...maybe one day though...
  • I doubt it. Maybe in a distant galaxy some place else but not mars.
  • I think it's unlikely. But I think there is life out there somewhere- not on Mars though.
  • there is arobot at the north pole that represents life. if there was life, any trace of it has been removed.
  • Yeah, I think so. In all honesty, I don't know, I just think it makes it more exciting that way.
  • Maybe, frozen/suspended in the ice.
  • Nah, probably not. There's more life in Adelaide on a Monday night, and that's saying something.
  • Yes. That is where Hussein Obama came from.
  • The possibility of intelligent life forms on Mars is higher right now than in Washington.
  • At the moment there is no evidence of life on Mars.
  • Nop! there is war cuz it's war "dei" Mars!
  • Lock in C. for "no" please Eddy.
  • I dont know coz i havent been there my self but have heard though media ect that there may have been.wether micro scopic life forms,or what have you.there is a rover 'APPARENTLEY'up on mars right now collecting samples ect, wait and see results,if it dosent go missing like the last one did.
