Bong stains? From spilled bong-water? That brown, sticky resin is usually soluble in rubbing alcohol, though you might test a hidden piece of carpet to make sure the alcohol doesn't affect the carpet's color. You might also try cleaning products like Oops or Goof-Off, which contain xylene, another good solvent.

It might come up with Oxy-clean, which has enzymes to help dissolve the organic matter. Pour some in a bowl, add a little bit of water to form a paste, spread the paste on the stain, let sit for 15 or 20 minutes. Now, pour a glass of water over it, and blot it up with towels until it stops being brown. Do not spread it by wiping with a sponge. It might need a second application. Soak, blot. It should disappear.
