    Try taking the batteries out? Hope you weren't in the middle of something. If it's completely borked, I seem to recall the TI-83 having a reset button that I assume would be on an 84 as well, but you'll lose any programs you have in.

    yea i did even the backup bat. it says garbage collecting... and will turn off after 5-10 mins. been like this 4 a week
