  • Heyyy I heard that song on a cartoon this morning..Owl family..kid owl wanted to be a singer..LOL
  • Can't say I do.
  • LOL..Found it..
  • I remember seeing this many times as a kid growing up in the mid-50's. Neat history in this one... It was made in 1936, with 10 year old Tommy Bond (aka Butch from the Little Rascals) singing as the little owl. I think the original song was written by Cab Calloway and made famous by jazz singer Al Jolson (hence the boy's name, "Owl" Jolson). The dad owl was voiced by Billy Bletcher (aka, munchkin, "as mayor of the munchkin city...") and Joe Dougherty, (Original Porky Pig) voiced the stuttering Blue Bird. Great old cartoon... thanks for posting it!
