  • My apologies to Professor Yaffle and everyone on Answerbag I have offended. I am a Christian, and I know: "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." -Mahatma Gandhi I'm not a perfect religious person, as nobody is perfect. We all have our defects. If we can try to make a change, then it gives us hope to better ourselves.

@Creamcrackered, if you're somewhere around reading this, you are right: https://www.answerbag.com/q_view/3528642#a8901131 Some people are at least humble. It is something I need to improve on.
  • The same as the real world, not everyone on Answerbag gets along with each other. When some people signed up on Answerbag, they did not pay attention to the part about being civil and respectful. Of course Answerbag is for entertainment but people’s different answers can conflict with each other and can spark an argument. Different people have different minds so when they type on screen their piece of mind, their question or answer gets a response from someone who has no respect and not being civil. If someone says something threatening or offensive or a spam, they can be reported and be put in the penalty box. All you can do is report them. Just remain friends with those who you like on here and not feed the trolls.
  • I try to get along with every AB user here.
  • Did I miss the drama again?

Yes, Professor Yaffle and DancesWithWolves announced they are leaving Answerbag. Here are a couple of questions from DancesWithWolves: https://www.answerbag.com/q_view/3528664 https://www.answerbag.com/q_view/3528667
  • We should at least TRY to get along I think. 11/27/23

Thanks for sharing! Who did you ever pick a fight with on Answerbag to say "TRY" in capital letters when you said you prefer to ignore people you don't agree with? https://www.answerbag.com/q_view/3528530#a8900798

You best clarify, cause you are making me laugh. LOL

There have been a couple of users over the time I have been here that I have decided to ignore because of long printed arguments on differing opinions. I find it is far easier to get along if I ignore their Q&As. Pretty simple, really.
  • Ever wonder what happened to ReiSan or whatever their name was? That particular user seemed like they couldn't interact with anyone without starting an argument. At least it kept the place lively. At the moment, if it weren't for you, we'd have, what, maybe 2-3 new questions per day? I know you tend to get frustrated on occasion, but if we made a list of the most controversial people here, I doubt you'd make the top 100 list. Unless if it was only currently active users, then we'd all be on the top 20 list, because there aren't even 20 of us anymore.

Thanks for sharing! Yes, I remember ReiSan and all his sock-puppet accounts. We were married to each other on Answerbag. Every time I needed entertainment or what I call action, I'd know who to go to. Without me, 2-3 new questions per day would be asked. I don't get frustrated nor am I sensitive or else, I would have quit Answerbag 5 years ago. I have been on the new Answerbag to this day on 11/28/2023 for 6 years now. I'm not really a controversial user. I'm more of defending my position. The problem is when I defend my position with users, they get very sensitive and discouraged. That's what happened with Linda Joy. I probably ran her off from Answerbag for calling her out, saying she was rigging the Answerbag Leaderboard. She asked me after all these years I've been on Answerbag, I did not know what she was doing? implying she was cheating. I found out she was editing up to 100 questions a week to stay in first place. In our last discussion, I made her appear like white trash, ruining her reputation. Others users I have been at war with are pugwashjw65, Texasescimo, LizzyP and Butterflies67 by not allowing them to dictate their Jehovah's Witness propaganda on this site, Jewels Vern and Archie Bunker who trolled on everyone in which someone had to put a stop to them, along with 11stevo73 who was rude, Professor Yaffle and a few other UK users who imposed UK English by telling me it's maths for mathematics, not math, DancesWithWolves who said there are too many heartbreaks on Answerbag and left and etc. Answerbag has lost and continues to lose users, simply because we all can't get along with each other. We can try, although it rarely happens, since you know how it is: we all want to be right, and also rarely admit when we are wrong.

I had several debates with Texaseskimo as well, but IMO, nothing ever crossed the line into obnoxious arguing. There was also that really abraisive muslim person who was outspoken against Americans- perhaps they still pop in from time to time. It seemed like that user might have just been trolling for arguments and drama, I saw redeemable qualities in all of them, though. I don't agree with JW dogma, but every single JW I know IRL is incredibly kind. HCC/Archie seemed to have a rough personality, but was just super down-to-earth 99% of the time. I remember Bootsie and another UK user getting offended about the UK/US English stuff a while ago, but I took it to be sarcastic. Maybe it's my own stereotype in my lizard brain, but I tend to be more likely to assume sarcasm when it's a UK-based person. I, myself, probably embody that more than anyone else I know, though, and I was neither born in the UK nor currently live in the UK.

I do remember your discussions with Texasescimo. I thought it was a good idea that you gave him a hard time on this site to discourage him. He is on answerMug. Throughout the years, lots of obnoxious arguments have been happening on Answerbag. I think I know the Muslim you are referring to. I can think of 2, one called himself Jesus is Muslim, the other Borsalama. I get along with Bootsie. She has claimed we are dough 68, another user I remember sexually harassed her. She's still active on this site. It does seem like some of those UK users are annoyed by US English, and want to ridicule it. You can see in this question were you left feedback: https://www.answerbag.com/q_view/3528389

Yes, I recall that drama quite clearly. She wasn't the only one making accusations against "we are dough 68," either, but I don't recall anyone else accusing the other user who is also now gone. I suppose there have been a number of Muslim users over the years, but the one I'm trying to remember had a username that started with "J," I think, and this person seemed to only ever be abrasive. Maybe the user was since deleted by mods. I have an account at AnswerMug. It started out much more civil than the old AB was at the time (which I believe was the entire point behind its existence), but then started devolving more and more into a drama factory as it got bigger.

I did accuse we are dough 68 of sexual harassment in a question that was asked a while back. I had evidence too in some captured images I took of his comments. Most of his answers and comments dissappeared. As the years went on, I didn't make a big deal about it like Bootsie. There were a couple of very argumentative Muslims I remember from the old site. I don't know the Muslim you are referring to whose name starts with the letter J.
    • bostjan the adequate 🥉
Oh, I didn't know he harassed you as well until just now. It's not right that you had to put up with that. Many other sites have an ignore feature, and I believe the old AB site had such a function as well. Such a feature is useful in avoiding direct harassment. Glad you are still around and the serial harasser is gone.
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Letting go and learning to feel okay is best. I know there was a list of AB'ers who were glad to see we are dough 68's account get permanently suspended. It's interesting to know about the ignore feature. If only the new AB had that feature, more AB'ers would have stayed.
  • I don't see why not. It's not impossible for people to be civil, is it?
    • Jenny The Great ⭐
Thanks for sharing! Shiver me timbers. Methinks you are better off asking the trolls.
