  • Agreed
  • Yes, that would be a good addition to AB.
  • "Recent" doesn't necessarily mean posted not long ago. It can also show up as "recent" if someone browses through the categories and comments on it. This triggers the status back to "recent". Unless you record all of the comments a particular question has received, chances are that you would never see the changes that were made to drive it back into the realm of "recent".

I thought it was new answers that put it back in the questions list.

It is. If someone goes back into the archive and adds a new answer to an old question, it will bring that question back to the front.
  • I agree with you on that. The Answerbag staff should add that feature to let users know how long ago or how recently the question was asked since the questions on the list tend to change around a lot.
  • We've been waiting for that feature FOREVER.

Not long ago you were acting as staff, weren't you? What's up?
  • Yes indeed. I noticed that too. This is why I've started to date my answers each time I answer a question. 12/15/22

I like your solution, but I just look for the check mark that is sometimes found in the upper right corner - if it's there, I've already left a comment

I did that too, for awhile. I discovered that it only really shows that I looked at it. Whether I answered it or not.

Yes, dates would be great. dalcocono's suggestion is good, but I never remember. I'm usually too busy checking my spelling or making sure that the text makes sense(?).
    • Linda Joy
Dalcocono is right it shows any you have recently opened.
  • They recycle old questions when no one is asking new ones. Your solution is to ask more questions. I just got tired of being one of the few doing it on a regular basis. Why should I put in the effort if all I get is bitched at, hated, and my questions picked apart for it? My thoughts are you get out of it what you put into it. And you get out of it what you choose to take away. Time to leave the negativity here and move on for a bit. I do love the rest of you though! You're why I keep coming back from time to time!

I don't think that's the case. I've come in here lots of times and nothing has changed. Only when there is new activity can a difference be seen.
