  • We usually have a community potluck at the tribal center. I like the traditional turkey and trimmings, but I love it when somebody brings deer meat and acorn soup! 11/12/22

  • I typically eat the same things I always eat. But when it comes to traditional Thanksgiving Day food, I especially like a good dressing, NOT giblet dressing (which tastes horrible to me, and I've tasted probably a dozen different recipes, and they all have the same horrible taste). I also really like the so-called "witch toast sandwiches" that are eaten AFTER the meal (that same day if the big meal is served early). For anyone who doesn't know what that is: it's basically a grilled turkey sandwich ("grilled" in the same way as a grilled cheese sandwich), often with dressing included as one of ingredients of the sandwich.
