why do people put signs on their front yard bragging about their son or daughter graduating from "so and so school"?
is this bragging? or what is it? why people do this? what think of them? why?

Apparently they consider it exceptional, given their child's abilities... Maybe it's a family whose parents didn't themselves graduate, and so in their eyes it's a notable achievement...

Coco Rose thanks, but whether they find it 'exceptional' or not, I am just trying to understand the bragging aspect of it. is it bragging? seems kind of pretentious and bragging does it not?
