Why do a few countries have the driver's wheel on the left side of the car ? Presumably because of the side of the road we drive on. Why not just have all countries the same?

Good luck with that. (lol) Clearly you've never tried to explain to a Brit that they are doing something wrong/backwards. Before they're finished their 3 hour explanation of why .... you'll be prepared to start driving on the other side of the road - even if your steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car.
