  • Yes but not on purpose. It happened while talking to the passenger on back of my motorcycle at around 60 mph. That was the last bike I owned that didn't have a windshield. : )

If I ever get another motorcycle, it will definitely have a windshield..Thanks, Ice man.
  • Yes but as ice man says, "not on purpose." I was riding in the center seat in my uncle's car with the windows and wind wings open, this was before air conditioning. A large bug hit the wind wing and splattered into my mouth! I spit and sputtered for several minutes as the others in the car laughed and kidded me about eating the bug. That was back in 1951, and I have never forgotten it!

      Lol...I don't mean to laugh, but that's funny...Thanks, dickw60 :)
    • dickw60
Yeah, it is a good laugh today but when I was around 12 I didn't think so!
  • Yes. A moth flew into my mouth while I was sleeping. I swallowed. It was kind of salty. ;O
    • Azlotto
      Umm okay...Lol...Thanks Carbon ; )
  • Yes, I was living in Central America (tropics) and there were LOTS of bugs and they were big! I would frequently party it up with friends outdoors drinking beer in cans. Several times after drinking quite a few beers I took a big swig of beer to find a cockroach had crawled into the can and I drank it. Couple times I was able to spit it out but a couple times it happened so fast that before I could spit it out it was already down the hatch. It's funny, after you have accidently eaten a cockroach at a party rather than making a big fuss about it (and admitting you just ate a cochroach) it seems like pretending it never happened is preferable. Eventually you learn to jiggle your beer can before drinking to see if you can hear a tinking sound.

If this sounds like a bogus post it is not. You will find that most people who have lived in the tropics have had similar, if not identical, experiences.
    • Azlotto
Lol...It doesn't sound like a bogus post because I've had similar experiences...which includes swallowing live fishing bait...Gotta love beer...Thanks, OC Joe.
  • Crickets, roasted. Nutty flavor.
    • mushroom
My kid, who never eats anything that "looks bad" was first to volunteer to eat roasted cricket "popcorn" at an event.
  • My cousin once had a ant crawling up her arm so she casually sucked it up with her mouth like a vacccum
    • Azlotto
      Lol...I guess she was hungry.
  • I had a grasshopper once. It tasted good and was crunchy like a potato chip.
  • Yeah. Space weevil.
  • There are some disturbing statistics about how many spiders the average person swallows in a lifetime, that crawl into your mouth as you sleep. But...you're probably better off not knowing.
    • Azlotto
"you're probably better off not knowing."...Indeed, and please don't tell me...I hate spiders and would shudder to think I swallowed one.
  • Yes, I think everyone has, most just don't know it. There are a certain amount allowed in processed foods.
