Not good to get wet. You'll get soaked and sweat-up. Plus you will have to go to muddy travels, wet feet, and all that stuff. Best to skip it.
-
If you have a jacket then you should run in the rain.
-
Skip it. There's nothing worse than slipping and falling whole running in the rain. You don't want to catch cold either. The rewards don't outweigh the costs in this instance.
-
RUN! It just makes it more fun and you keep cool, just avoid dirt trails and steep downhills and you'll be fine.
-
The only time I don't run in the rain is if it is pouring or very windy. I like running in the rain, it keeps me cool and gives me a reason to run faster!
-
Go for it. I like running in the rain, reminds me of my army days. Whenever it rained it was sure as sh!t that we would be running. Plus the reward of a hot shower when you come back feels all the more better.
-
If it's just a drizzle, go for the run. If pouring, either skip a day -- that shouldn't hurt your routine -- or do other exercises in its stead.
-
If there is no lightning, then run. After all, you are going to receive a free shower.
-
Run in the rain-it's very refreshing!
-
Singing and dancing in the rain is OK but running, where on earth did you get that idea from?
-
Running in the rain is cool, once it just isn't a very stormy and such.
-
If there is a good chance that you could slip and fall and suffer a scrape wound, don't risk it because the resulting injury could cost you multiple runs. Not a benefit. If you can run with knee pads and gloves and safety equipment that you feel is justified, then run all you want. It might help to do a cost/benefit analysis on your personal situation, and either professional runners or active military/police should be the only ones to justify the risk. Granted, colds are acquired by virus, but the chance of an affliction is increased by lowering body temperature and pneumonia is nasty. I wouldn't risk that if it seemed possible. The likely alternative to a run in cold rain and slipping on wet clay is jogging in place. It was good enough for Marine Corps Boot Camp when Parris Island was in flood mode, and it will probably work for you if you try hard enough. I recommend it.
-
Put on a thermal top (avoid cotton tops, they'll make you cold when they're wet, and just RUN! You'll feel much better afterwards.
-
Just listen to whatever you mind tells you.
-
What's wrong with running in the rain?
-
Just get out there and do it! Be a bit careful if any of the surfaces you run on are slippery - and ensure you don't get too cold afterwards. Other than that enjoy yourself!
-
RUN! The rain is such an awesome experience. Just yesterday I ran in the rain. I love it; can't wait 'til it rains again. Keep to the road and you'll be fine. Avoid loose gravel or trail that could get muddy and cause you to slip.
-
Running in the rain is fun, unless it's cold, then it really sucks.
-
G'day Tani,, Thank you for your question. I would skip it and either run in the evening if it has stopped raining or do some other form of exercise instead. Regards
-
well that is something that i am trying to decide right now. i think ill do it. this is gonna be great! =]!
-
If it is raining hard, i would always wait til it slowed down, then i would run.
-

-

-
Yeah, I say run in the rain.
-
If it's there's no lightening storm, yes, you can run in the rain. Just wear a light jacket and jogging pants (if it's cold or cool out). But if it's still warm (like a summer rain), then go in your regular shorts, t-shirt, and light jacket. Have fun!!
-
oooo run in the rain!! It's something new I guess. Sometimes I don't like to get wet and other times I am like aahh well what the heck, why not!! :)

There is never a excuse. I live in Oregon..it rains a lot. This state is full of runners. We just wear a light rain jacket and go. Regardless, the experience is great and rewarding. Get out in that rain and run! lol =)
-
Run in the rain, it's good for you. Physical activity in the winter cold can also be very beneficial.
-
Run in the rain it is good to train in all conditions. Sometimes we can use the weather as an excuse to avoid our exercise regime. Enjoy the elements its good for the soul
-
Playing in the rain is fun, so running in the rain would have to be fun too. Just stay in for monsoons or dangerous weather.
-
Id try it, in fact I think I will the next morning its raining. I ussualy wear wind pants when I run in the morning anyway and a windbreaker jacket if its cold, Ill have to check but I think the matierial is waterproof anyway so that may help. It wont hurt to get wet as long as you arent already sick.
-
Depends on how into running you are. I don't run in the rain, unless it's raining during a 5K I planned on running in.
-
There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.. :) With rain jacket it's really good. Don't skip your trainings :) Feel the joy of running: http://www.you-run.com
-
It sounds like you could get sick. I wouldn't do it.
-
I think you should run in the rain! +5

Personally, I LOVE running in the rain, most times. Depends on the kind of rain. A nice soft gentle rain is a blast. Cow-pissing-on-a-flat-rock kind of rain, stay home...
