No my first one was a Motorola bag phone. It came free with a new car. I didn't even get service until a year later when my oldest turned 16. I was glad for her to have it with her. I have yet to this day talked on a cell phone with the same level of voice quality as that bag phone. The cell voice quality really went down when it went from analog to digital.

It was! I didn't get one until 2004 - with T-Mobile - my husband already had one with the plan, and then I followed. He had had another plan before, but that was before I knew him - I had never owned a cell phone - I was a "hold out," until I finally gave in (at age 48, ha ha!). It was silver, and a little bulky, but held about 250 names, addresses and phone no.'s. which suited me just fine (I used up most of that space!), and it was fine for what it was. I don't need anything fancy, anyway. But yes - it was a Nokia, and maybe you asked this q. because some folks you know had a Nokia as their first cell phone, too.
-
Nope, my first cell phone was a Motorola system built in to my car. They even cut a hole in the roof for the antenna.
-
All my mobiles have been Nokia so far. They're pretty good.
-
No. Motorola. +2
