  • yes i still think that.
  • Don't use a special case to generalize all Pro-choice people. Common sense, our good friend that some people ignore.....would tell us that this is not the norm and this woman has some type of problem.
  • Lord 15 abortions in 16 years is insane, she shouldnt have been allowed to do this, this many times that is for sure, shes using abortion as a pill. This is however a extreme situation and not to be confused with freedom of choice, there needs to be laws that stop a woman like this though.
  • she probably gets a lot of prescription pain and luxury and recreational meds...legally.
  • No. That's not freedom of choice, that's insanity. She's using it as birth control, which it was not designed to be and she should actually be steralized.... Fact is the majority of pro-choice people are not like that. It is a last resort. Most pro-choice are also pro-contraceptive, so this wouldn't happen.
  • Her body, her choice, as they say. That's the pro-choice way.
  • ABORTION IS NOT BIRTH CONTROL! WTF is this woman's problem? Seriously? People like her make me sick.
  • "Abortion addict"? I'd say "serial killer" is more like it...
  • She must make the pro choice movement proud.
  • She is a serial killer. Hasnt she ever heard of a condom? or the operation to seal her fallopian tubes?
  • One way to cure the abortion argument, make it legal with these stipulations. Allow the doctor to remove the fetus, and then hand the mother a ice pick and have her drive it through the base of the skull and kill the fetus. If it is only weeks old then drive the ice pick through the heart. If the mother wishes to abort a pregnancy, then she should be required to finish the job, not some callous third party who does it for money.
  • i think its the abuse of the right we have of "freedom of choice" i personally am pro-life and i am aganst pro-choice. that does not mean however i judge those who have gotten abortions (my real mom had one before she had my brother and me) +3
  • I feel like she should get her vagina melted shut. She is no better than the serial killer in prison
  • I am pro-choice and I think this woman is mentally ill. Anything can be abused....let's make everything illegal!
  • Yes. She can do whatever she wants with her body, I've got no say in the matter. I'd like it to stay that way.
  • i think this is a single case! This case falls into the "very very rare" categorie" Therefore because it is only one person; she probably has abused herself plenty.
  • She's obviously crazy so she is saving those fetusi from living miserable lives. Bless her heart. Children diserve decent lives.
  • no i call it a mental illness
  • Something is wrong with you mentally if you can have 15 abortions.
  • 1 - at first, i trust no one, especially if they have a book coming out that talks about the issue being discussed. there are too many motives for an aspiring, nut-job author to lie. 2 - part of me sits here at home and is grateful that my government didn't have to pay for raising these kids, their health care, education, incarceration ... it would be $3 million plus. i don't want my tax dollars going to raising her kids. besides, given how nuts she is, all of them would probably end up in jails or long term hospitals the rest of their lives, costing us another $50 million. i don't want to pay $53 million so this wack-job can keep getting pregnant. where does the government have the right to step in and assert that enough is enough? does the government ever have the right to assert rights to protect its own interests and demand a man (like that guy in tennessee who, at 29, has 21 kids to 11 women / girls) to have his tubes tied or same for this woman. if so, can you imagine the loss of her precious 2 children to her today?
  • What an aweful selfish woman. I'm not going to say I think abortions should be illegal because frankly I believe that it is a life saver (mind the pun) in some desperate situations. For one, I am allergic to condoms so I am on the pill and I also take my temperature everyday so that I know when I'm ovulating, but even then all of these methodes aren't 100% foolproof. So if I happen to get pregnant and I can't have the baby because it would be cruel to bring a child into the world with my current financial situation. An abortion is acceptable. Maybe their needs to be someone who listens to you personaly, looks at your medical history and financial situation and they decide whether you are allowed to have an abortion or not. Abortions shouldnt be seen as some sort of contraception. Sorry for the ramble. Great question +++
  • There are two ways of looking at that article. The first is that everythign in the article is true. If that is the case then I feel very sorry for that woman that her society let her down. She lived during a time of forced sterilisations, telling woman that having babies is wrong. Her first marriage to a dominate older man reinforced those beliefs. She was also let down by the doctors who performed 15 abortions on her. Where was the counseling? If the article is true I would say she is a sad product of her upbringing. The second is that the article is not true. Meaning we really have no idea whether she had 15 abortions or not and so therefore can not judge what is going on.
  • A disgustingly irresponsible woman. Clearly, she should of been sterilised after the 3rd abortion at least. This is obviously an extreme case that has come to the media's attention but I suspect there are vast amounts of irresponsible women having multiple abortions as a form of birth control and without it becoming public knowledge. Pathetic and sickening.
  • There are some people that drink irresponsibly, get into a car accident, and kill an innocent person. So, you're saying ban all alcohol because of the few irresponsible ones. What about some people that use guns to murder people? Ban all guns because of a few bad examples? Some people download songs illegally. Ban all downloading because of a few bad examples? You have to get to the core of the problem. Getting rid of choice doesn't solve the problem.
  • She can get 100 abortions if she wants. It's her body, it's legal, and that's how the pro choice community wants it. I would think they would make her their poster mother.
  • blah blah blah She's found a way to make money. I wouldn't read the book if she gave them away for free.
  • If it is okay to have one abortion then it must be okay to have 15. Hopefully it is all at the taxpayer`s expense too, makes it all the better.
  • No, it's murder. She's trying to make money on this. I wish people wouldn't even talk about it -- adding interest so people will buy her book.
  • She explicitly states that she had a psychological problem and was severely unbalanced. The abortions were an act of self-mutilation.
  • Anything done to an excess is an addication or could be a sign of a serious mental disorder. I know of no one that would excuse such actions as a freedom of choice - do really think some do?
  • 15 abortions in 16 years. What happened to that one missed year?
  • Just because one person is like that doesn't mean they're all like that. That particular woman is mentally ill, and needs help. :B
  • I bet you 10 bucks that 99% of the people who answer this question didn't read the book or know the backstory. She was severely mentally ill. She did not use abortion as a contraceptive, she used it as a form of self-mutilation.
  • I find it rather improbable that someone could actually get pregnant that many times and continually having abortions. Links to story/stories are in order. But to voice my own personal opinion, abortions should be a choice. If it is made illegal, women will still have them -- by attempting to do it themselves with a hanger, or by others in dirty and/or uncontrolled places like their own houses or alleyways, where infections and even death could be the very real outcomes of abortions in that case.
  • Wow. 15 abortions in 16 years. Let's do away with abortions, then. We don't like what that lady did! Down with abortions for everybody! And, hell, it's her choice. Wanna know why? You can kick about it all you want, but where were the fathers? Or the father. Hm?
