The time tested method to promote peace is balance of power. I will aim at the balancing of powers. Also throw in a few checks and balances and an acceptable state of peace could be achieved in the world, I suppose. The next best method is for the weak to surrender all their rights and freedoms to the strong. This would neither be possible nor desirable. There is another impossible to achieve method. Make all people go philosophical and forgo their rights and freedoms. This method would be impossible to promote so I will reject it.

I wouldn't. Nothing is fought over more than the ideal of peace. You could say nothing has caused more war than the ideology of peace.

Get rid of presidents, kings, czars, and anyone else that would promote war. Wars are never fought for peace. Wars are fought for greed, politics, or land acquisition or a combination of each. Leaders get the people in a war not the people.
