The best way to cook bacon is in the oven. No turning, even cooking, less likely to burn than broiling. Also, the texture of microwaved bacon is not quite the same.

crispy.

Crispy to the max...just this side of burned...but not.

Just slightly crispy. Hint: sprinkle a little flour along the length after it begins to cook. That will stop it from curling and keep it straight.

In hot oil for about 10 seconds each side.

I grill it then have it on a barm with a dash of chilli sauce.

Cut the strips in half (sandwich size) and pop them in a hot frying pan. Flip after a bit. Drain off the fat and dry them with paper towels. My mother-in-law does them in the oven, but they always turn out unevenly browned and overdone to my taste.

If it's one or two sandwiches, I'll cook it in a cast iron pan until it's nice and crispy, no soft whitish parts. If I have lots of sandwiches to make, I'll do it in a hot oven, can't be beat! And if you want to get fancy, do the BACON weave!!!!
