I did, many years ago.
-
Have done, and kept up on my physicals long enough to retire at 2/3rd grade pay in June 2007 at age 37;)
-
Probably not since I was discharged before I got to Basic Training due to knee problems.
-
I'd fail the medical... And probably other things. I'm 6'-9", and, by most standards, considered obese, and have been for years. Besides, I'm 53, now. No toes, and a bum knee. They wouldn't want me.
-
I would. I'm 4-F technically, but know I'd make it through. I've got a bad knee, but can set aside the pain for my country.
-
doubtful
-
Nope
-
Yes, I have an injured knee, like several others, but its been fixed. Right now the only thing stopping me from going is the decision between the navy, and the marines.
-
i freakin hope so, i go this coming summer, ive been told i will, but u never kno
-
I doubt it. I cry when I'm scared. If they wear fatigues, I wouldn't like the clothes. I wouldn't like to use guns or weapons because I can't hurt anyone...not even an insect. I don't like to get dirty. I don't consider myself brave and ALL soldiers are very brave. Also, I think I am too petite to get into the military.
-
did it 21 years ago. Not that bad. Keep your mouth shut and your feet moving.
-
I used to think I wouldn't make it through possibly since my father and some of my uncles went into the marines in the years 69-78 and all talked about how crazy it was, then I saw movies like full-metal jacket and such that reinforced my ideas of how crazy it could be. But as I got older I started reading about how now days they get sick days in boot camp, they get to wear sneakers instead of boots all the time, it seems they have eased up a bit and judging from how some wimps (by wimp I mean lazy, unmotivated, think they are tough but are really a mama's boy types) I went to school with went in and made it out, I guess I think I probably could survive it. Growing up in a miltary household I feel I partially already went to bootcamp as a kid anyways.

...
-
Yes, I would. Then, at graduation, I'd be staring at the female soldiers, preferring their dress uniform to mine. (BDUs are BDUs, so that's no big deal).
-
Yes, no problem.
-
i could not even make it TO military boot camp
-
I'd give it a go! Afterall, they can't torture you at all anymore, can they?! ;-)
-
I doubt I have the physical prowess needed for the training, although there's nothing specifically wrong with me other than I smoke. I suppose the health issues can be worked on, I mean that's what the training is for...but I'm pretty sure I would fail even the psychological prerequisites and tests to see if I'm even eligibly psychologically fit for boot camp. :/ And even were it not for this, all that discipline, of which I lack of so much and totally despise, along with getting up so early...eeew. But, maybe they could find something else for me to do, not everyone in the army is a soldier, but I think you have to go through that first, before anything else. :/

I did, in 1999 and now im Lieutenant McNeil Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, Scottish division British army
-
Yes, I went through 17 weeks of OSUT at 17, and am in the process of going back in for another 20 yrs. I've never lost my physical endurance or motivation. Just watch CNN to get motivated. I retired 3 yrs ago from the 101st, after 21 years - Hooah !!!
-
Yeah, it was laughable, I did it in 2005.
-
I want to join the Air Force but I have screwed up back and neck problems from a car wreck 7 years ago. My friend and I were hit in that wreck, and it was on September 11 2002. Of all days to get in a bad car wreck it had to be that one. It sucks because I really want to join. My brother in law is in Iraq right now while my sister and their 3 kids are in Germany at the base waiting for him to come back.
-
the only course i might make it through is the physical part.lol
-
I already have.
-
Been there, done that, got the tshirt.
-
Already did.
-
I did in 1963 ..... and it was a great experience; I think it would do a world of good if more of today's young people would learned the discipline and respect of boot camp.
-
I did, and I made it just fine. In some ways it was hellish, in others it was fun.
-
Sadly I would not. I don't take kindly to people who yell all the time.
