Both. If it is a light cookie sheet, then I use a pot holder. If I am getting the turkey out of the oven, then oven mitt it is.

I don't use anything. I've been burned so many times, I've become amune to being bured up to certain teperatures.

Whichever one is closest. I have also used a dish towel in a pinch. Especially when one of my kids thought the oven mit was a puppet and decided to brush its invisible teeth with toothpaste and a tooth brush.

I have several of both..mostly potholders...hanging up in my kitchen. I always need them! And yet I still burn myself now and then. That's why I always have an aloe plant in the kitchen!

I prefer potholders. I find oven mits unwieldy. It annoys me no end that all the chefs on TV use kitchen towels..geez louise..kitchen towels! Do they learn that at chef school? :(

One of these puppies... They're silicone so there's no heat transfer.
