  • If the problem is difficult for you to deal with then you should probably start exploring the idea of getting your own place. Usually, though, to terminate a lease early you have to pay equivalent of 2 months rent. This would end the lease and your ex would have to find herself a new place as well. You could simply move out and leave the place to her, but whatever damages accrues in the time period after you move out are your shared responsibility because your name is on the lease agreement. Depending on your landlord, you may be able to have your name taken off the lease but I wouldn't count on it.
