  • I think it is because he doesn't want a romance on the job. He's into you now, but if things didn't work out, you'd still have to see each other everyday. He may have had an experience in the past, where he dated a co-worker and things went bad. I think that you should respect how he feels, and try to find someone else. If you enjoy your job, and make good money; then do NOT quit your job over this situation. Having a good job is more important than a relationship that may or may not work.
  • Sounds to me like the two of you really need to have an "adult" conversation. There is definitely some things to be talked about here. At the very least for some kind of closure, if nothing else. There's often more than two sides to a story. Talking it over will be the best way to figure out whats happening. Guys are strange animals. Just nail him down and find out his side. He IS still smiling, right?
  • There is someone you don't know about. If you don't like your job then by all means quit. If you like your job or it is a gateway to your career then don't quit. A failed romance with what is more than likely an undeserving man should not interfere with your happiness or ambitions. Hang in there young lady, a worthy man will appear at some point. :)
