ANSWERS: 20
  • Well if it is illegal that is an issue... but to me personally if you hear about two people dating and you have no idea what in hell they could have in common, like on is 20 and one is 60... that makes no sense to me.
  • Well, I've seen 40 years with celebrities.
  • Presuming that time is real and that it is possible to experience multiple lifetimes, some might say about 26,000 years....but, why limit ourselves, right? Let's say that there is no maximum age gap.... Short answer then: whatever...
  • I think it should be 2 years. Yet I've seen up to 60 on television. Sure age doesn't matter. Money does.
  • In the past I would have said something like "20% of the older person's age", and probably that's a good rule of thumb for most people. But what happens if you fall in love with someone who is way outside of that range? That doesn't happen very often, and who can decide what the limit should be? So it happened to me, and all of my ideas about what the right limits should be came under attack from within. She's much younger than I am. So I don't think there's anybody who can speak with authority on this topic. When love finds you, it's best not to try to escape.
  • I'm 50 and my gf is 27. Hey, at least she's not half my age, and never will be.
  • If it's legal and both people are happy, safe and enjoying each others company ~ age shouldn't be an issue :)
  • Love knows no age, darling. ^_^ I'm cool with anything, as long as it's legal.
  • As long as neither party is breaking the law, age has no relevance. IMO
  • Since you've put this in the Both Under 18 category, I don't know why people are giving you bizarre examples like 50/27!! But now you're saying 17-30 - well that's cool - which end are you? 17? There is no maximum in any case... How wonderful for her to have a young man interested in her! I hope you both enjoy it!
  • I don't put an age on love but I do stop if I have to pull her teeth out of a glass every morning.
  • it doesnt realli matter if you love some1 and they love you back it doesnt matter about the age gap what so ever
  • If they are both over 18 then whatever age makes them happy.
  • As long as both of them are of legal age, I think any age gap is okay. 24-Year-Old Man Marries His Bride of 82 http://www.shortnews.com/start.cfm?id=65241 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7019998.stm
  • Age is just a number, if you are lucky enough to find love and be loved in return you should just go with it. As long as this other person is an adult (over 18) and knows what they are doing, they arent just teenagers who just want to be loved.
  • THis is an impossible question to answer. LIterally. WE are talking about love here, the most wonderful thing on the planet and should this have limitations? should the love of someones life be kept away because all the surrounding people consider them to be "too far apart" age-wise? My boyfriend is 18 years older than me and I have never been happier. I do get negative attention and it bothers us both. Surely the happiness of each other and those you care about is the most important? Sure, if you're way too young you can't exactly go running off with an really old guy- it's ridiculous but we must remember every individual circumstance is different and we shouldn't place an uninformed judgement on it. It is a lot easier having closer age gaps (8 years and less), all I'm saying that if there is a real bond between two people and age is the only barrier, it sure as hell be leapt over so the two can be happy, which is the most important both in the short and long run.
  • Im 17 and I have a personal age limit of 35. But I dont think anyone should have to get any crap about dating anyone of any age if you are above a certain age, and that age is different for everyone. Saome 17 year olds could not handle dating someone that old, some could. A 22 year old may not be able to date a 35 year old, but some could. It just depends on the person. Did that make sense? lol
  • under 18: 2 years over 18: go for it
  • Me and my boyfriend have a 5 year gap between us. I couldnt care less and neither could he. I think my max age gap would be, 8-10 years.
  • my uncle is 60 and has a 28 yr old wife, thier first child is due next month
