  • My eyesight is very poor and not correctable with either glasses or surgery to the U.S. Militaty's standards otherwise I would be more than happy toi fight and die for my country.
  • Because I don't have a set a brass balls.
  • i don't believe in doing so. i think bush and all his cronies should head over there and fight it out themselves. or at least send their able children to do it.
  • I have a reasonably good job
  • I am really not much of a fighter, and I am definitely not much of a war supporter.
  • Because I want to stay whole. And I dont support The Bush Admin., but my symapathy and love goes to all the families and soldiers who are out there battling in the war.
  • Because it is a worthless war to just go kill myself for no reason.that whole war is just retarted.lol
  • My son is there right now. I think we all need to remember that our military is completely voluntary. Each one made the choice to enlist in a branch of the armed forces. They knew thw risks when they signed up and accepted them. Also, what a lot of people do not know is there are ways to get out if you change your mind. That said, do I like my son in harm's way? Of course not, but it was his choice. So I support him and all our men and women there as best I can with care packages, letters, etc. If any of you are interested in supporting a soldier check out this site: www.treatsfortroops.com
  • Because there are 3 little boys at home that need me more. I am 1000% supportive of the troops!!!!!!
  • A) Because I am not in the Army. B) Because when I do join the Army, I will be stationed in the Holy Land.
  • 1. Because I'm busy trying to make a life for myself (not that I'm achieving much but I'm , I mean I used to try hard ...). 2. Because if I did have to go to Iraq I'd much rather be dealing with those who are suffering and trying to make their lives better. Since I only have a rough overview of the situation and have no idea of the intricacies involved, I have no idea how or if I could make my actions understood over there. I figure the Iraqis would prefer to see one less westerner as it's one less variable for them, but I have heard that our troops are actually doing some good over there. As much as I hate the war, I don't really know how to minimize the pain over there.
  • why should I?
  • 1) I don't have to 2) I've already served my country (US) 3) I've been to war, and have no desire to see it again 4) I'd want the people who create war to send thier kids before I would ever do it again.
  • I would, but for these 2 reasons I wont. 1) I'm really out of shape and would probably have a heart attack during traning (well maybe not a heart attack, but it would feel like it) 2)I'm really afraid of the thought of dieing and not being on this earth.
  • i dont believe in that shit, unless they actually did something to us, which as far as i know they didnt... but like crazy b said, love and sympathy to all our troops...especially chrispy. good times dude <3
  • I do not know to fight a fly ....guess would be a great waste for the people already there !
  • Because I'm only 15.
  • I have to raise my kids while my oldest son, my nephew, AND my son-in-law are fighting for us. I think that I have enough people in my family laying their lives on the line for us. Someone has to stay home & raise my son's little sister. :)
  • I would love to, but they won't let me kill the terrorists how I want to so I aint going.
  • war is not healthy for children and other living things. (poster from Vietnam era)
  • Because Im not in the military nor do I wish to join.
  • Because this war is unjust, because I will not die over GWB's foolishness. Because the troops need to be back home and more sensible ways to deal with the middle east crisis can be reached.
  • I don't think we should be there. and I don't fit the militarys' 'don't ask don't tell' policy.
  • Why don't you? I want to live to fight another day.
  • I'm too old, the armed forces wouldn't have me. But I would go to Gaza to kick the crap outta hamas.
  • Because we were led into war under false pretences. If I am wrong, I demand that George W. Bush's twins, and all eligible children of his extended family serve in Iraq to prove their support for George W. Bush's noble cause.
  • I've had my War (Vietnam), it's my sons turn.
  • Medically rejected by the USAF for my hearing not being up to par. I feel dishonnor for the family (my dad, both granddads, all great granddads back to the Revolutionary war!) have put honor to our name by serving this country. I wish I could have done the same. What will be, will be.
  • There are people more qualified than me to do the fighting, but I have been there and done my part. I do wish sometimes that Bush and Saddam had resolved this over a game of chess instead of a costly war. Why not?
  • put-options
  • NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO ====================== Well, first of all it isn't my war to fight (I'm German/Australian). This war (in my opinion) wasn't initiated to fend off an enemy (though that was the excuse), but rather to invade a country that already had nothing - except for one precious resource that everyone is after. It's a selfish war and I wouldn't want anything to do with it. Having said that I do feel for the troops that are stationed there, it's a job for most of them - a dangerous one at that. I can't help but say that being German also makes me look at this differently due to our own history. Please don't take this the wrong way, but the same lines Bush is using have been used by Hitler to motivate an entire nation to fight for a common goal. I AM NOT EQUATING BUSH TO HITLER HOWEVER. I needed to set this straight. Fighting for my country doesn't have this glorious and "righteous" tone to it - Maybe it's because Europeans tend to be a lot more cynical and cold. Most Americans watch way to many movies in my opinion - where war is being over-glorified - and everyone wants to be a hero and a happy end. No one in their right mind would fight this war - if it wasn't for the illusion that ones own country was under attack. Oh... and because America is such an example student it deserves to spread freedom, democracy and "peace". Yeah right. How about the "Let us do evil so that good may result." Romans 3:5-8 5But if our unrighteousness brings out God's righteousness more clearly, what shall we say? That God is unjust in bringing his wrath on us? (I am using a human argument.) 6Certainly not! If that were so, how could God judge the world? 7Someone might argue, "If my falsehood enhances God's truthfulness and so increases his glory, why am I still condemned as a sinner?" 8Why not say—as we are being slanderously reported as saying and as some claim that we say—"Let us do evil that good may result"? Their condemnation is deserved. Harlekkin
  • I am too old and my feet are such that I was never qualified for military service anyway.
  • Because my Commander and Chief is an underqualified asshole and I'm not ready or will I ever be ready to die for my country. F**K THAT S**T!!
  • Because I'm a coward at heart :).
  • Well its kind of because my age. I am a little to old to join the Military right now. But I back our fellow soldiers for putting their lives on the line for our freedom...Now this dose not mean that one day soon, I won't be over there. For there is going to be a day when I do join with my LORD as one of his saints. And thats when this war will come to a end. Just check in the Bible in the book of Zechariah Chapter 14 & V's 5.....But until that days comes. I'll be here to support our young troops who are putting their lives on the line for our freedom........M.C.S.
  • have a cousin there and i don't believe that we should be there. i disagree with it, my cousin obviously does not. so i sit here and hope he stays safe, all the while cursing the fact that we're in this mess
  • Because we shouldn't go there to fight? The current occupation is meant to be peace-keeping, not warmongering. ***** Also, I actually do intend on joining the Australian Navy upon receiving my Degree. They may send me to Iraq if that conflict is still going (and if Australia is deploying there), but most likely I expect to be deployed somewhere in the Pacific for aid / peace-keeping work.
  • im scared of death!! id love to be a nurse to help the injured though or gie them food/support or something to help the troops out there but arnt we trying to teach kids 'violence is never the answer' ? what a great example...
  • I have already served in two wars. Think I have done my bit
  • I have. May i have another? but please send me in the winter, revenge is a dish best served cold. and oh yeah, YOU MISSED ME M*THAF*CKAS!!! <as i hold up the international F*CK you hand sign.>
  • I'm too young.
  • Because I don't want to be paid money to kill people, just so I can pay for a college degree.
  • Too old to serve now, and when I tried to enlist in the Navy some time ago, I failed the physical.
  • Bad back, I was very disappointed when I could not get into the army... if I have got it I might have gone to Iraq.
  • I would have been able to join the Navy, and the closest I may've gotten would've most likely have been the Persian Gulf. Alas, I need to grow out of asthma first.
  • I'm a single unwed mother...I have tried and failed. They said "no can do"
  • I suspect that, even as a queer man, they would let me in...as long as I was "cooperating" and not trying to act like Klinger from M*A*S*H. Alas, I am 44 years of age, I am too old to be permitted into battle. Finally, I am opposed to militaristic solutions to problems, and since World War II, we seem to be in a perpetual state of war. Everything I see about the occupation on TV makes me sad, the losses on all sides are absolutely heartbreaking, horrific, incomprehensible.
  • I tried, when I was 18 I went and did the physical but was denied due to a hyperactive heartbeat. Up until then it was my goal in life to be a fighter pilot :)
  • because i don't want to.
  • Too old. No military training. My country is not directly involved.
  • Why don't you?!
  • Why would I go there? I dont see any threat from Afganistan or Iraq or Iran or anybody else
  • I would if I could. I have served in the Army. I am now too old. I have worked with military personnel in a professional capacity to get them ready to go to Iraq.
  • Don't know how to get there.
  • because I do not support dubya, and will only fight if there is good cause for the war, which there isnt a good cause
  • I'm 52, have diabetes, no toes, bad knee, and am so out of shape (even without those problems) that it'd take 2-3 Basic trainings to get me CLOSE to combat ready. They don't WANT me! :-P Besides, I don't think my wheelchair or mobility scooter could handle the sand.
  • Because the slaughter of natives to steal their natural resources dosn't apeal to me on an emotional level.
  • 1) I'm a bit old for it; drawing VA benefits at this point in life. 2) My son did. His reaction was to join IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against the War) when he got back. 3) I've got a class war to fight right here at home.
  • Because my flight there doesn't leave until the summer! :)
  • Give me a break, I'm 62. What possible use would I be?
  • Because I believe killing other human beings is wrong.
  • Because I've already given most of my adult life to my Republic and the American Army, THAT'S why... I was in Gulf I, Panama, Honduras, Europe, etc, and I'm now considered 100% disabled by my government. I can't even pick my own son up anymore. If I had to, I would do it all over again, no questions asked. I love my Republic THAT much. Now, why don't YOU put on a uniform and go serve...
  • Because they won't send 15 year olds!
  • i will , IF u go live there!!!!:Justme
  • If I were American or Britis I would go there of course. It is the duty of American and British citizens to go there. Being German I ca't go there.
