  • I used to have a cat who would push the books on my headboard onto me if she thought I was sleeping too late.
  • Not exactly. But when my cat is in and wants me up (usually to let him out), he will start by meowing on my bed. If I push him off, due to being tired, he will meow next to it. If I swing a pillow at him, he will go across the room and meow. Louder each time. If I throw something at him, he will go around a corner where he cannot be hit, and meow. If I shut him out of the room, he will meow in the stairwell (great acoustics). If that does not work, things start falling from places they should not fall from. I dread ever finding out what would come next.
  • Yep. Every AM, cat on chest wanting his breakfast. At exactly 0630!
  • Hhahaaha!!! Mine pounces on my feet!! I boot him off and here he comes again!!! to funny. My dogs licking my nose, my cats pouncing my feet. :)Who needs music?
  • My cat will purr in your face until you open your eyes, if you DO open them you better not shut them again because he will bite any exposed skin you have, it's funny some mornings but when you're hungover on the weekend it's not so great
  • Ouch. You must have a bruised nose by now :P . I have a small female crossbred dog, and she slept in the crook of my arm last night, much like how your girlfriend or boyfriend would sleep in yours :] . Don't open your eyes if youre not ready to wake up - she will aim straight for your mouth, as in lick/kiss 'good morning!' every morn without fail, and so I hide my face in a blanket or pillow. Then she'll lie at your feet until youre fully awake. But if she's feeling particular impatient for attention she'll WALK on you until she gets what she wants - and she's not exactly featherlight for her size. . Sorry, no kitten story :P
  • Yes - most of the time I get a loud "MEOW" in my face, or a quick nudge on my nose. :-)
  • i get a high pitched trilling meow and then she jumps on my chest and demands love.
  • if we arent out of bed on the weekends by 6:30 am my cat sits at the end and "yells" at us until we get up and make the bed and then she hops on it and naps
  • Meowing at the door...
  • We have two cats, so in the morning we hear our unusual alarm clocks. Simon--who sounds and looks like Edward G. Robinson (Meow, see, meow!)--and Tigerlily, who sort of squeak meows like Betty Boop stand at the door and will not stop until one of us gets up to feed them. They have us well trained:)
  • My alarm clocks haven't been kittens in nearly a decade. Unfortunately, they have used that time to hone their skills. My boy has the shrillest, most piercing meow and he will howl over and over. He doesn't even have to be in the same room. He can wake me up from the other end of the apartment. My girl will peep at me while headbutting and poking me with her paw (the worst was when she actually shoved it in my mouth, left a stray piece of kitty litter in there, and nicked my lip with a claw when she pulled it out). If that doesn't bring results, she will burrow under the covers to strategically apply her cold, wet nose.
  • yes mine just sits by my chest and looks at me and meows. And if i don't get up fast enough she will use her claws and poke them into my feet and ankles, and just sniff at me.
  • hehe. yes. my cat taps the covers to wake me up, so i can let him under the blankets. (although, this doesn't happen every morning & sometimes it's during the night.)
  • my cat wakes my mom up in the morning by pouncing on her
  • My cat wakes me up by throwing everything on my nightstand on the floor to wake me up and let him out so he can eat breakfast.
  • No, but I wish I did! I looooooove kitties!!
  • YES, My cat has been waking me up at 7 o'clock everyday for 3 years. I don't bother setting an alarm unless I need to get up earlier. He simply walks across the bed initially. Then after 5 minutes he meows, then makes another pass on the bed. If I don't get up in fifteen minutes he generally will lie down beside me. Ready to trail me into the bathroom for my shower. He figures out daylight savings time after 1 day of waking me up an hour early or not waking me up at all. He behaves more like a watch dog. I guess that would make him a "watch" cat.
  • Absolutely, every morning at 4am which is NOT the time i want to get up. She has this magical way of sitting very close to your head and staring at you. It wakes me up every time.
  • lol. My cat is not that "nice". He wraps his paws around my ankles and bites me in the morning when he is hungry. He will also do this if you walk through the kitchen and there is nothing in his bowl. He has tripped me on numerous occasions!
  • I just had to comment because my cat has started waking me up every morning at 6:20 a.m. on the dot! It is so weird how accurate her timing is! She claws my bedroom door and meows until I get up for a few minutes, then I go back to bed and everything is fine... I just don't know how she does it at the EXACT same time every day!
  • Mango the cat wakes up Grace early every day.
  • My gray tabby just sits in front of my face every morning at the same time, pawing and meowing at me until I open my eye's. If I try going back to sleep, she'll start meowing even louder & walk all over me and my nightstand, and sometimes even race around my room knocking everything down along the way. Then she'll jump back on the bed and start meowing and pawing at my face again. Sometimes she even lightly bites on my hand. It's all a vicious circle until I'm fully awake. She let's me sleep in on the weekends, thank god! She's scary smart, strange and crazy, and very sweet and lovable. She loves sitting in the bathroom sink with the tap water filling in the sink. She's a water girl, which is very rare. Her orange brother is the total opposite, very laid back and lovable with soft cute meows ,very loyal to my 6 year old son,and he's the ultimate hunter and warrior. Both kitty's get along great, they groom & play(fight) with each other and teach each other new things.I love cats:)
  • Yes, Rudy gets right up to me and meows very quietly (so it don't wake Paul up). This is feeding time he says, and Cattoo is always right there telling him to get her up, but be quiet about it.
  • My 15 year old kitten, likes to play at 3:00 in the morning, she will run through the house, hit the throw rugs and slide across the floor. My alarm clock is my German Sheppard, needing to go outside, big wet slobbery kisses, and whines, really loud.
  • Yes! One time my alarm clock was not set right and I had Court in the morning. Oddly enough my cat got right in my face that morning, liking my nose. She never does this. If it wasn't for her I would've never gotten up!
  • my ragdoll kitten willow dose the same as yours ,he licks it and then bites it and at the moment his breath is not very fresh as hes cutting his adult teeth
  • the nose biting is cute... long time ago i had a cat that would bite my nipples. LOL! nowadays i have a different kind of cat alarm clock. one of my cats likes to jump on my bladder in the morning. its amazing how effective that alarm clock is ~ makes me jump up and head to the bathroom immediately.
  • ouch! no i wake up when my brother takes a shower in the morning. thats when i know i have exactly 15 minutes to sleep!
