  • Um yes. You can cook for me if you want.
  • Of course it is ok. Most of the Worlds top Chefs are male. If you enjoy cooking that is great go ahead.
  • What could possibly be wrong with that?
  • You bet.. As a matter of fact , if you went to a top culinary school, you could make HUGE money as a chef.
  • I'm in high school, and I already know how to cook.
  • It's better than ok! Any guy that can cook, no matter what age automatically gets extra credit, in my books.
  • Definitely. Guys grow up to t chefs all the time. And besides, later, women find it SEXY when a man can cook a good meal. You'll get laid more, I promise.
  • Being able to cook means independance from crap fast food (which is bad) and other people's cooking (which is sometimes worse). You can do your own thing and aren't beholden to anyone. You don't have to live out of a freezer or cans. You can keep the money Ronald Mac would get and spend it on something worthwhile. I would say cooking for yourself at any age is a sign of maturity, imagination, creativity and intelligence. If you can cook well, that is a talent a lot of people would be jealous of, and could lead to a rewarding career.
  • Definetly! At my school they have a culinary arts (cooking) class, and 90% of the people in that class are guys. I think it's hot when a guy can cook.
  • i love it when my bf cooks - my sister taught my nephews to cook and sew on buttons when they were little -
  • Heck yeah, and he'll make a darn good husband. That's one thing I love about my fiance. He likes to cook, so when we get married, I know I'll have help!
  • I'm a guy, and i'm in high school and I LOVE to cook. theres nothing wrong with it. it's fun!
  • wake up your babe with fresh made breakfast wearing only an apron and you will see just how OK it is
  • No, it is immoral.
  • My son is 7 years old and I have been teaching him for about a year now. I dont want for him to have to rely on a woman to cook him a decent meal.
  • I love it when my boyfriend cooks for me! I think a guy who cooks is sexy, and it's great to start as early as possible! :)
  • I think it's not OK for a guy in high school not to be able to feed and take care of himself since being able to cook is to be able to live within a budget whereas not being able to is not.
  • Of course! I see nothing wrong about it! One thing that may be going through someone's head is being laughed at by classmates...but I know in the future, those friends are going to be looking up to that guy who cooks and admiring him; wishing they could do the same. ;)
  • Yes, at some point every guy will be alone and have to make his own meals. (same for girls)
  • Is it okay to breathe?! HECK YEAH!! It's a necessary skill - you should be able to take care of yourself when you're "on your own".. plus, who DOESN'T love a guy who can cook!? The earlier you start, the more experience you'll have!
  • I was in high school 1971-75. One thing I really wanted to do in high school was take home economics so I could cook, sew, and do household things. Back in those days, a boy wanting to take home ec had to get a parent's signature. My dad thought I would be the only boy in class and I would be made fun of. My mother would have signed the form, except my dad wouldn't let her. Oddly, I took secretarial training, which DIDN'T require a parent's signature. The class was actually 50% guys and 50% girls. I think if my dad knew I was taking it, he would have had a fit. I took secretarial training so I could learn shorthand to take better notes in class. I also learned typing at a fairly high speed. Years later, the secretarial classes paid off. I actually got a job as a receptionist. And I paid money to go to chef's school. I am a little sad I never learned the sewing part of home ec.
  • Only if that guy wants to eat anything. Ever. :o) Of course it's OK!
  • Of course its okay. In fact, I find it kind of attractive when a guy wants to cook for me.
  • it's beneficial and a major ++ for him even
  • Good job! I love my boyfriend's cooking!
  • no! It's better for a guy to be useless and dependant on other people to cook for him! in fact, women are more attracted to them. Didn't you see the rule that states "guys in highschool MAY NOT know how to cook" lol I'm being sarcastic :P
  • Absolutely Yes! It is okay, for a guy in highschool to cook. In fact I think it's great that they want to. It will help him later on. Especially if he would get into situations where he would have no choice. Like the person he is with may not like to cook at all.
  • I was cooking long before high school yo...
  • Dude, let me tell you. Learn to cook. Don't worry about what the jocks think, cooking is fun and teaches you a lot more than playing football ever will. And women love a man that can cook.
  • Totally, some of the coolest people I know cook like as a hobby.
  • I think there's nothing wrong with that.^_^
  • So long as he's finishes his homework first.
  • of course im in middle school and ive been cooking with my dad since i was a baby and im a preety good cook and i hope to get even better in high school
  • more than ok...super cool.
  • ok? It's necesary for some people. only child, one parent that works 12 + hour days. Who else would do the cooking?
  • guy reading this with me: fuck yeah! me: have to agree! ^^
  • LoL a guy learning to cook will get your ass laid... :P
  • I think everyone, male or female should learn to cook, and better yet, before high school. IT's the only way to eat inexpensive, nutritious meals. And it's really special when a guy can cook for or with a lady friend:-)
  • I LOVE when men cook for me. I'm sure some lucky young woman would love it if you cooked for them too.
  • If you go to college, that's a trait that could come in handy. But you may want to concoct a few microwave recipes though as most dorms don't have kitchens available. To answer your question, I don't see anything wrong with anyone (including guys) wanting to learn how to cook. But while you're in high school, you may not want to advertise this since it will make you a target for teasing (unfortunately).
  • yeah. i thinkit's cool for guys to cook.
  • my son is 28 now but he started learning at a early age to cook from me and my mom. Hes a excellent cook now and I don't remember any of his friends ever saying anything bad about it especially when he was the one in the kitchen whipping up the snacks and even making cakes at 12. I remember one real funny story when he was 21 and living in Portland OR with a young lady, he hadn't found a job yet and she was working and had come home, first thing though the door she says to him " you made dinner? and then as she walked on though apt. she turns to him and says you cleaned house? and as she walked by spare bedroom she saw all the clean cloths folded on the bed and said and did laundry too?" My son said he thought she was going to faint, he told her thats the way my mom & nanna raised me and you work so I can do the rest, there's no shame in it.
  • Every one of us "men" should know how to cook! The women won't always be there!(no offense to the women but that seems to be the view of many)
  • Absolutely not! Methamphetamine is a bane on society! ;-)
  • Is this a trick question?? Of course it's ok. DUH!
  • Cook... Drugs no... Food yes. Why not? 1) You never know how long you will remain or be single. Knowing how to cook will let you make good healthy choices in what you eat, rather than forcing you to eat out (probably fast-food) all the time. Besides, eating out is usually MUCH more expensive than cooking. 2) Girls DO like guys who can cook. Wives like to be let out of the kitchen, but not have to dress up to go out, too. 3) Think about it... Don't a lot of high-school guys know how to cook to a certain extent anyway? Think of all the fast-food restaurant workers out there. I would be willing to bet that the majority are HS students and male. 4) Get good enough at it and you could become pretty famous. Look at the Food Networks' chefs. ;-) SO, OF COURSE, it's ok for a HS guy to cook (food). (God I hope so... I did!)
  • EVERYONE should know how to cook, so they don't get scurvy from trying to live on ramen and goldfish crackers.
  • Hell yes it is. There should be more guys who know how to cook good-tasting food!
  • Yes. cooking = chick magnet found that one out just in time to use it to my advantage
  • Yeah, why wouldn't it be?
  • Yes. All the ladies will want to get with you if you can make them a yummy dinner.

  • Yeah man, the best chefs are men.:)
  • Cooking is a wonderful thing to learn...all the men in my family have their specialties as far as that goes, beyond the grill...when they get home from work they join their wives in the kitchen and prepare their meals together....
  • Man thats great. When i was 11 my mom was seriously ill for 2 months.I cooked for the entire fimily as my sisters were 8 and 6.It was tough to look after shool work and cook along with play but I did that as i have always behaved a head of my age. During my engineering days all 4 years i have cooked for my self.I find pleasure in cooking now.Atleast I dont have to relay upon any lovely creature in future for food.So chill.
  • well, who else is gonna make your Easy Mac?
  • It's more than okay. Being a good cook is awesome and a great way to get the ladies. Nothing wrong with liking to cook.
  • Not only is it ok it's pimp! Never cook for a girl on the first date, it's a wast of energy for someone that may not appreciate it, daqte two or three is when you bust out your skills. also in college I sold food to the stoners after they got the munchies for beer money. I would turn $10 buck worth of food into 30-40 buck on a Friday night. The menu: egg sandwich, grilled cheese, or French toast.
  • I cooked when I was in highschool... just never in front of anybody lol never even told anybody, just did it once in a while. I was more open about it when going off to college :)
  • I think its great! I know one of my guy friends does, he cooks for me also and its awsome =] More guys should
  • Only if he likes to eat. There's a reason for that fast food commercial with the guy who can't cook and acts like an idiot. Only an idiot would allow himself to be dependent on others for something as basic as food.
  • I think it's great! ;-)
  • Yeah, I wish I had learned to cook.
  • Sure it's ok! Learning life skills that will serve you almost every day as soon as you can is always a good thing. Not to mention some girls have that skill in their list of traits they want in a man. ;)
  • I think it is very cool for a guy in high school to cook. If you enjoy it, you may have a good idea what you should do for a living. Besides, women love men who can cook!! ;)
  • why wouldn't it be?
  • well im in my last year, nd the girls love it so...
  • Absolutely you very lucky
  • i wish i could cook its something normal y do u think guys are allowed in cooking class
  • Why wouldn't it be okay? It means he's passing Home Ec! It pays off big when he's older.
  • Of course, have you seen male chefs? I like cooking, I'm a male, 15 years old
  • HECK YEAH! I was on my own at 6, had to cook and clean and fend for myself. There's nothing at all wrong with being able to take care of yourself and cook! In fact I think if you are a man or woman in highschool and you can't at least do the bare minimum (cook, clean, do laundry, balance a checkbook) you have some major issues and need to grow up.
  • Absolutely, plus you will never have to depend on your wife in the future.
  • of course, girls love guys that can cook!
  • YES I was one of those kids where both parents worked and had to cook for myself so i was cooking before Jr. High. Not to mention when he starts dating and if he cooks well he will score points LOL oh parents may not want to know that.
  • Why not I graduated, and I love too cook.
  • Yeah; why wouldn't it be? Plus, women will find this skill extremely attractive.
  • Of course. Better question, is it ok for a guy in high school NOT to cook? Everyone of high school age should be able to cook.
  • YES! That's really attractive to me. lol
  • NO!!!! Keep it up! You will make some lady real happy one day!
  • i think so. i took home ec in 6th grade and i think i turned out just fine. besides, females like to have a good meal cooked for them every once in a while ;)
  • It should be mandatory. Its called being mature and independent.
  • you need to be self sufficient
