  • I do not listen to sad songs as it aggravate the problems ,i just get out of the place and go for long drive and try to occupy myself.or say my prayers.
  • It's so easy to tun on sad music when we are feeling down, isn't it... I tend to put on the sad music because it's comforting at times, but I also try to listen to something uplifting afterwards. It does help to minimize the negativity. :)
  • The best way for me to combat this is to try to help another person in some way. It gets me out of my head and gives me some perspective.
  • Fight it, sleep or stay on the computer, depending on how bad it is.

  • When I feel sadness coming on for a legitimate reason, I sit around crying it out and listening to sad songs. It is the only way to get over it. Otherwise it just builds up until you go crazy.
  • Nah... I fight it. And I'm getting pretty good at it. Now any depression just doesn't last that long. BTW: One of the BEST ways to fight it: Comedy albums; Funny movies; Heck FAVORITE movies (action/adventure without a lot of mushy stuff would be best, I'd think); and, maybe watching "America's Funniest Home Videos", or the cop chases on TRU TV or Spike. ;-)
  • Allow your self to bawl your eyes out and feel poopy for the day...then pick yourself up the next morning and get a dose of sunshine and a good swim in the ocean...then dress up and make yourself beautiful and go somewhere like...the markets...or visit a friend...or a local friendly pub with a band...

  • I used to ride it out with my own mix disc of the world's most depressing songs, but now I fight it with whatever goodness I have on hand. No good comes from being blue, it only makes stuff worse.
  • I fight like hell to keep it away. I know when it's coming...my happy reaches an all time high, and it's like a bomb waiting to drop. I frantically try to have fun, try to listen to happy songs, try to talk it out, try to exercise, count my blessings, you name it, but I can't fight it off for more than a day or two..
  • When I have depression I am crippled. Thank God it happens very seldom and usually does not last long anymore. I had it once for about 6 months and I don't ever want to experience that one again. I was wrongly medicated by a greedy psychologist. I almost offed myself.
