No, they divorced when I was little. My father still hasn't gotten over it.
-

Nope. My parents got divorced when I was 18. My dad didn't want a custody battle, so he waited several years until I was of age before he dropped the bomb on my mom. She eventually met a wonderful man and married him. She died a few years ago, but I'm still very attached to both my dad and my step-dad.
-
My parents split up when I was 5, but my mom remarried when my dad died when I was 10, and they've been together for the past 19 (nearly 20) years, so they've got that going for them... which is nice. ("So I sez to the Llama... HEY! How about a little something, you know... for the effort.")
-
It would be better if they weren't.
-
no they are not together , they spilt up when i was 2 , and dad is married to the girl, for over 10 years now .

my parents have been married and very much in love for 35 years strong. It's not about how long they been married. It's about how long they are happy to be together and STILL married. That to me is the important part.
-
My parents have been married for 22 years I think. They are the only people in my, rather strange, extended family to have a happy (so far) marriage so go them.

true love is a rare thing! Yea i agree that today many other marriages have gone down. But my parents are still at it! :D
-
i do, they have been married for 35 years.
-
they are not married, they just live together. And I think they would separate long ago if they could...
-
My parents are still married. They have been married for 53 years. My husband's parents stayed married their whole life. When My FIL died they had been married 62-63 years. I'm still married for 34 years. My SIL is has been married for 49 years. I think that when people are from happier families that had parents who loved each other and stayed together, they set a good foundation for children to see marriage as a positive thing and that it is possible to have a good marriage. I never thought otherwise and it wasn't because of rose-colored glasses, either.
-
We just celebrated my parents' 60th anniversary in September.
-
Mine have been together for 32 years now.

-
Yep! They are still as in love as ever to! :)
-

-
not mine - thankfully they divorces about 16 years ago
-
Not mine. They have been divorced for 11 years now. Neither of them have remarried. I love them both, but they needed to be apart. Plus it didn't help that she was cheating on him.
-
not me! they divorced when i was 10 or so. my dad got married again and has been married for 10 years. My mother doesnt even date...
-
Mine were married for 40 years, and would still be married today if Dad hadn't died 11 years ago. Also, life-long marriages are not rare. They're not even rare in the US. Yes, now slightly more than 1/2 of all marriages in America end in divorce - but that's not the same thing as "half all people who get married get divorced". You see the odds are skewed by the number of people who get married and divorced several times. (I knew one girl whose parents had been married and divorced 3 times each, and to people who'd been married and divorced 3 times each: when she counted up all her step-siblings and half siblings, there were over a hundred of them.) The fact is that about 75% or people age birth to 25 (whose parents were married to each other) do NOT come from "broken homes".
-
My parents never married. Keep your opinions to yourself.
